Wednesday Jones will be in South Florida along with assistant coach Zach Azzanni to see a few 2015 prospects high on Tennessee's board like Torrance Gibson and Calvin Ridley and both seem to have an interest in Tennessee early on.

You mean of uncommitted prospects?...maybe, but I'm becoming a fan of Zach Gentry...watching Hudl film of him up against slow NM high school scrubs has that effect

There is a lot for Tennessee to sell a elite player like Gibson next cycle. First you got the receivers we currently have on the roster, then add the #1 WR for 2015. Plus we aren't going to take a QB for 2014. (at least we haven't as of today) The question is do you guys think Butch sells him on being the only guy for 2015? History tells us no but I wonder if he would do it in order to get a guy this elite? Obviously I'd like to take this guy and Gentry but realistically there is a low possibility of being able to pull that off.

Oh man I just now realized that possibility. Gibson, P. Williams, and Swinney in next years class. Plz yes

Right... He wouldn't want to play with the most talented WR corps in the country? Honestly? In a spread offense? TG could be the missing piece to a National title. Get him, and we could be competing for a title in '16 or '17.

Eh, not sure I would say that. If Fergs and Dobbs are as good as some of us think it could very well be a couple/3 years at least before the kid is getting serious reps. We do need a QB or 2 though in 2015 just for depth purposes.

We've been down so long its hard to wrap my head around it but it would be awesome. Another thing that helps us is we've already got some really good commits for 2015 and if we are able to add a couple more early on in the process it will make it that much more enticing for a guy like Gibson. All it really takes is winning some games next year and 2015 will "one up" the 2014 class in terms of elite difference makers. The 2014 class is the most important class in recent memory though.

I definitely see your argument for him not being the biggest need but he's the biggest want for 2015 IMO.

I just spoke with a buddy of mine who is an asst coach at a local high school here in ft lauderdale and he said if UT gets this kid they will be competing for SEC and possibly national titles almost instantly...Said he reminds him of a young Tommy Frazier with his running style...Said he has a really nice arm too...I hope the magic continues and we grab this kid.

I want to see us land at least 1 top tier QB for the 2015 class no doubt. For me, the recruit I want to see sign with UT the most in 2015 is Jaason Lewis. I think he is an absolute monster and would be a dominate TE from day 1. IMO he is Wolf/Helm in 1 player. Physical blocker on the outside and a mismatch for defenders as a TE catching the ball.

he'd be a huge get. I think what makes him especially important is how the TE is used in our offense. I know he wants to play RB but his highest ceiling is at TE.
