This is very narrow minded. Why not move JJ before he ever takes a snap at QB if you're fine with moving TG?

You do this in every thread you always pick the oddballs as who u want over the top tier talent. Whether its Dormadyand Jennings over Gibson or Tuttle over Settle. None of them are bad players but its ok to want the most talented player every once in a while.

Why would you move JJ without giving him a chance at QB? After all, that is the discussion that so many TG fans are up in arms over if TG is moved without giving him a chance at QB.)

What makes you believe that TG is more deserving of the opportunity than JJ or a better QB than JJ? Are you star gazing or do you know what Butch Jones is thinking?:p

Because JJ is a Tennessee commitment and was promised a chance at QB before he committed. I tend to value the kid who picks our Vols early on. Also as I have

stated many times, I don't see much difference in JJs and TGs QB skills as of today. Although I do like to see/read that JJ is at least working on his QB skills. Why would I take back a promise made to JJ(A UT commitment) months ago to make room for a kid I don't think is any better? Silly IMO.

I probably should touch on the 2nd comment you made.

Had TG committed before Jennings, I would be passing on Jennings. I would think I had made that clear MANY times already. After Riley left, I was fine with taking 2 QBs. I did not see TG as optimal at the time, but had said IF the coaches told him it's now or never TG or Dormady, taking TG I could have lived with. 2 QBs and done in 2015. I have NEVER been ok with taking 3. IMO it's flat out stupid to do so. JMO

At times I favor the "higher ranked" guy. It just depends on the situation. Am I 100% sold on Sweat being better than Phillips? No. Am I 100% sold on Ordway being better than Abernathy? No. How about Mckenzie over Settle? Recruiting is a crapshoot at times. I do tend to value instate kids and IF an instate kid and a slightly "higher rated" out of state kid are on the table for the same position, give me the instate kid 95% of the time. "But 1 is a 5.7 3* and the other is 5.8 4*". Sorry, I don't really care.

Why has it become a priority for some posters to CONVINCE Leb and Tux to the point of cowtowing...on this particular recruit? None of us have any sway on Butch's decision and as of this moment, he's a take...at QB...all we do on here is postulate on what we would prefer, and LebTux seem to accomplish that without getting all bent out of shape. The ignore feature is an option that I've never utilized, but I'm sure that I'm on a few lists of those that do...use it and traipse through this thread in positive shangri-la bliss...I'm looking forward to seeing this kid grow as a prospect hopefully already armed with a commitment.

Regardless of point of view, you've all gone full on retard.

JMO of course.

Go Vols! :hi:

Convince me? HA! :p

Its part of what made Bruin so annoying. (One drive by post does not merit present tense.) :horse:

It comes with the territory. Accept it. Become one with it. And you too shall soon find inner peace. Or at least you'll find what you perceive to be inner peace and others around you, including soon to be former friends and family members, perceive as drunken insanity.

It's nice that Gibson is still supporting his former school IMO.

Maybe with the move to WR, they let him back in? If so, that seems very reasonable of them. JMO

Funny you say that. TG just did his 2nd blog for USA Today this morning.

Offseason Offerings

Every week we'll profile an elite player or elite trainer and have them dish on one of their most unorthodox training methods and explain why it's been so beneficial.

Next up?

American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) quarterback Torrance Gibson, who is rated No. 1 among dual threat quarterbacks and No. 8 overall in the ESPN 300.

The How-To: "This one's pretty crazy, but, as a quarterback, you have to be able to get away from the defense and keep plays alive sometimes. That's where I excel so, to stay fresh with that, in between classes in the hallway or in the classroom just walking around I'll juke people out. Yeah, like, I'll just be walking somewhere and someone will be walking toward me and I'll just side-step real quick or fake that and go back the other way. They look at me like I'm crazy. I do it to teachers too and they just bust out laughing. They think I'm being funny or weird, but it's like a repetition thing with me. I'm always thinking about ways to juke people out."

Keep throwing **** against the wall, Leb. Maybe something will eventually stick.

Maybe AS A QB... he should find a way to practice throwing progressions ...in your argument with Leb, practicing "juking out" doesn't really dissuade from his WR point. :hi:

He's talking about when he's at school in the hallways. Pretty sure kids aren't allowed to throw footballs in the halls during class change.

Leb - "I'm not even sure TG will be at Heritage next year"

I post proof that he will

Leb - "well obviously Gibson will only be back to play WR"

I post a blog from this morning where he is talking about himself as a QB.

Back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth. Back and forth.
