Walker isnt ready to name leaders, but said his focus for the most part is on Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee. Those two programs also probably will get official visits.
He added those programs are recruiting him hardest.
Of the Vols, he noted, I like the way their fan base is, how theyre behind their football team and believe in them.
Walker said Tennessee also has a big need at end.
Its helping them a lot too, Walker said. "Coach (Tommy) Thigpen I talked to him one day. He told me on the sideline Coach Butch (Jones) was yelling in his ear, I wish we had Dandre Walker so he could get the pass rush. "
With the Bulldogs, Walker said, "I have a good feel for Georgia. I feel comfortable at Georgia. Like, comfortable playing there. I could see myself playing there."
Walker will visit Georgia this weekend when the Bulldogs play host to Auburn. He said hell be watching both teams closely.
One major factor in his process: early playing time.
Of course, I want to play early, Walker said. I want to go to college and come in and play.
According to Walker, he likely will announce his college decision Jan. 3 at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
"Honestly, I still dont know exactly where I want to go to school at, Walker said. But my uncle has told me its about that time to start making that decision. Before it gets too late and they think Im just actually trying to play around.
