POA you're my boy, but as much as you ask for people to post articles, you should probably just get a subscription. It's only like $10/month anyways

If I could pay by the month, I would. But since you have to pay for the full year in advance, im not going to. Esp when the article is usually posted here shortly after

You can pay by the month on 247... That's how I did it. I'm not sure if you can still do that after all of this bolt updating stuff.

No I just meant that you prob got excited when the thread bumped, that's all. I don't have a sub for the same reason-diapers and it is usually posted here anyway.

Naw, I dont get excited. This recruiting season seems kind of slow compared to last season. Probably because most kids are waiting a while longer.

Here ye are:

...
The 6-foot-2, 218-pound Walker — who claims more than two dozen scholarship offers — said he decided to visit Tennessee for the third time in less than two months because he likes the “great environment” there and “the way they run their program and the way they believe in themselves even after they didn’t have too good of a season (last year).”

“I was hanging out (at Tennessee last weekend), and at first I didn’t even know they were going to have a little scrimmage like that. But it was intense,” said Walker, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 126 overall prospect and No. 10 weakside defensive end in the 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class.

“Then, I ended up wanting to come back, of course, to see their spring game, and that was live as well. The spring game, it was cool. It was great.”

Walker said his trip to Tennessee last weekend allowed him to spend time with coach Butch Jones’ staff and some of the Vols’ current players, attend one of their defensive-line meetings and watch their third spring scrimmage.

This weekend, he got a chance to experience something resembling a game-day atmosphere at Tennessee for the first time.

“I was surprised at how many people were there just to get autographs,” Walker said, referring to the Vols’ annual fan day before their spring game. “There was a line to the 50-yard line, and (Jones) was sitting in the end zone.

“(I was impressed by) how many of them came to a spring game and were there tailgating before the game and stuff like that. It was crazy. That was my first time being there to see the fans, but I plan on coming back for a game — well, a few games.”

Walker said he spoke with all of Tennessee’s coaches during his visits each of the past two weekends, and they told him to “keep coming back and keep learning.” He said Jones insisted that, “eventually, they’re going to have a winning season — that’s their plan — so (I liked) just knowing that he’s confident in where they are.”

He said he also enjoyed his latest visit to Georgia on Thursday.

“It was great. It was a good visit,” he said. “I like their new defensive coaching staff that came from Florida State.”

Walker said he doesn’t have any additional visits scheduled at this point, and he’s not planning to decide on a college any time soon.

"Caught up with D'Andre Walker earlier today...

He said he has really liked getting to spend time at Tennessee the last few weekends and liked the atmosphere at the Orange and White Game this weekend. He specifically talked about Jones and his plans for the future at Tennessee and really feels like he's bonded with him and Tommy Thigpen on this staff.

He doesn't want to claim any leaders or anything right now, but it was clear from our conversation that Tennessee is very much in the thick of things. Georgia is in there, as is Auburn.

Walker did say he's not planning on doing anything soon, but that he wants to see how some teams do this season and see which freshmen play at certain schools. He wants to play early and he wants to play with his hand on the ground.

We'll have the story up later tonight or in the AM, but just wanted to drop some nuggets here around dinner time."

"The way Butch Jones feels about his teams and the way they just came of the losing season and he's pushing them and motivating them and he's passionate and you can see him winning in the long run," Walker said. "I like that about him. Then, once you start to win, your goals become higher and you'll eventually win a national championship. "Today I was looking up some stuff about him from when he first got to Tennessee and it was crazy what he's done."

"I don't have a top group or anything like that right now but I could definitely see myself playing there," Walker said.

"If I was signing today I'd play defensive end and I would just have to get bigger," Walker explained. "In certain schemes I would drop back and play linebacker. As long as I can still put my hand in the ground."

"I want to see this season and see how some of the teams recruiting me play and how the defensive ends play and how they turn out," Walker added. "I would most definitely have to see this season before I do something."

Don't tell Barton Simmons that he would be a 6-2 defensive end because that precludes him from being a four-star (reference Andrew Butcher).

EDIT: here was the comment:

"He's an 89 as a 6-2 DL so yes, I feel pretty safe in saying if he was 6-4 he'd be a four-star.

Ppl get hung up on 4-stars vs 3-stars. There are so many players out there that we think are really really good that are three-stars. If we ranked every kid with good highlight film a 4-star there'd be 800 four-stars. 89 is a really good ranking."

That really wasn't that bad. He's saying that an 89 is basically a 4*. There's way too many players with 4* film to give them all bumps. People do get really hung up on that.

There's a lot of good 3 star prospects out there, you just gotta trust your coach to find them.
