'15 GA DE D'Andre Walker

Source? Not doubting, just need a quote or source for the weekly update

"I like Georgia and Tennessee so far. They're standing out. I just like them bc they are the places that I've been to that I can say I've liked."
"Every time I go to Tennessee I learn something a little different, and I get a better bond with all the players." -247

Auburn and Tennessee are two schools that have been mentioned prominently in Walker's recruitment, which he states has to do with what position they are recruiting him as.

"Both schools say I can play defensive end and at the same time, I still have not been to any other colleges, so that is how it stands until I go on any more visits," Walker said.

That is a sticking point for Walker, and one he said off camera could be a deal breaker when it comes to making a decision.

"I want to go to school and play defensive end," Walker said.

One funny thing he said was that he was no longer interested in LSU, because Les Miles didn't know who he was when he visited. He said they had been talking over the phone a lot, but if someone doesn't even know him then he must not be important to them.

Les found the wacky grass that day

(De'Andre walks into LM's office).

DW: "Hey coach".
LM: "Who is you"?
DW: "It's me coach, De'Andre".
(LM reaches toward his desk phone)..
LM: "Call security".

DW removes LSU from his top schools.

Walker was included in today's "Top 10 Most Wanted" article written by VolQuest.com's Brent Hubbs & Paul Fortenberry. Most of the "top-10 most wanted recruits on UT's board" were expected, but Walker was the one which surprised me the most.

D'Andre Walker,DE, 6-3/212, Fairburn, Ga.

At 212 pounds, speed rusher is the best way to describe Walker who wants to be a defensive end and understands the need to gain weight something he is focusing on this summer. Walker has been busy on the road seeing Georgia, Auburn, Cincinnati, Michigan, and Michigan State as well as trips to Knoxville on back to back weekends in the spring.

The first trip was to see a practice and the second was for the orange and white game.
While Walker is a defensive end, many schools are talking about him playing a hybrid end, outside linebacker position because of his athletic ability. For Tennessee with a lack of depth at the end position as well as the continued question of being able to get to the quarterback by only rushing four, Walker is very appealing for the Vols.

"This guy impresses me." = This guy leaves a very favorable impression on me as a football player.

"I hope he jumps on board this weekend.": I wish that he will choose to commit to the University of Tennessee sometime between Friday July 11, 2014 5 PM (Eastern Time) to Sunday July 13, 2014 11:59 PM (ET) during the "Orange Carpet Weekend Redux".

I love your attempt to be a smart*** but you should check your dates first. How are you an entire week behind?

“Every time I go up there it’s the same way,” he started. “We have a nice relationship, and I have fun every time I’m there. “I think they’re passionate about their program and it’s a vision they have in their mind. They pursue it every day. The players see it, too. They think it’s possible, and they think they’re on the uptick. I see it, too."

There is no "us or we" in that quote. No ownership in the program. He talks about the vols almost like a respectful rival fan.
Either I don't get your point or I'm not understanding you correctly. Why would an uncommitted prospect take ownership in a program that he is not committed to play for? Not sure what you were expecting, kid even said he can see the program is on the uptick.

Sorry, with other prospects, you see something like my position coach etc. just reminded me of when I'm speaking to a knowledgable rival fan...Tennessee is recruiting well, facilities are great, like the attitudes of the coaches, great fan support...but none of that is enough to get my fandom/commitment. I still am not sure if am saying this correctly.

To be more succinct, I just didn't get the warm fuzzies from this quote.

I understand your point and agree.

Walker racked up 108 tackles, 29 TFL, 21 sacks, 45 QB hurries, and 7 forced fumbles last season.

29 tackles for loss....put a decimal point between the 2 and 9 and I think that's what our team leader had last year.
