'15 GA OL Marquel Harrell

If a kid already committed to us release a top 5 with us as number 2 we would be pretty pissed over here. Wonder what the Barn boards look like right now.

Yeah.... That list is completely in order.

Also for those if you on the fence about whether we have passed on recruits this cycle need took no further than this. Kid wants so badly to be a Vol.

Ahh, so not so much a "top 5" as his OV list. Still think he would bail on AU in a second if CBJ made the call.

if Auburn gets Tyler Carr this week then that may affect Harrell....not sure, just throwing that idea out there. Carr is a Tackle i think though.

Pretty sure TN wanted him and felt good about landing him when he committed to Auburn. This guy is clearly all over the place when it comes to his recruitment so nothing will surprise me here.

He also committed to Ole Miss at one point. Decommitted to keep the focus on his high school, then committed to Auburn. Now he's an Auburn commitment leaning towards Tennessee... Lol. This is wild.

How can this kid be considered a commitment even if he did flip to TN? I mean that would be 3 commitments to SEC schools in a couple months.

He decommitted from Ole Miss when we offered. Committed to Auburn because we werent ready to take him. Now we have renewed interest and hes ready to flip to us.

to say the least, the recruitment of 3-star offensive guard marquel harrell has taken a strange turn.

First, the auburn commitment told 247sports on monday he is firm to the tigers.

but later he noted, “tennessee is my leader.”

how can a player be committed to one school but have another in the lead?

In a nutshell, harrell said that while the tigers still have his verbal, the vols have a very appealing depth chart in his eyes, and that is giving him lots to ponder.

Harrell said tennessee became his leader "after realizing the depth chart for tennessee. They only have like nine offensive linemen on scholarship. Most are seniors or juniors. That means i can compete right away for a starting spot.”

harrell is the no. 45 offensive guard in the 247sports composite. he committed to auburn on april 21.

before that, harrell had been an ole miss commit.

“i’m firm … but anything can happen,” he said monday. “i’ve thought about [de-committing], but i don’t know. I’m not sure yet. i don’t want to keep de-committing because i don’t want to seem indecisive."

according to harrell, he wants to take all five official visits to explore all options.

Auburn “told me i could take them,” harrell said.

as for his next visit, harrell said it will be to either auburn or tennessee. He last visited the tigers two weeks ago.

I'm am not a recruiting guru like you guys, so I ask a honest question. 247 has him listed as a solid commit to AU but 67% of the writers on 247 have him CB'd to UT. Am I reading that correct?

Those predictions came before the commitment. 247 saves them so you can see where the "experts" predicted the prospect to go.
