'15 GA OL Marquel Harrell

"Tennessee, you could say they are number one right now," Harrell said. "Me and (Anthony Parker) talk almost every day and he asks how the family is doing and stuff other than football. It has touched my heart."

"It's like Creekside has it's own little section because you have previous legends that went up there. There's a lot of guys up there," Harrell said.

"I was thinking about taking more visits but as of today I'm going to make my decision on my birthday, July 18. That's when I'm going to go ahead and commit," Harrell said. "It's between Ole Miss and Tennessee. Those are my top two right now."

"It's just the family environment and I liked the practice and I like that they play music during the practice like we do. It felt just like home," Harrell said.

I've said it several times...I'd be ok with only 1 RB and no TE this class if it means we can stock up on all these stud OL recruits that seems to be favoring us.

Never hurts my feelings to stock up on the lines. For Harrell to be a take IMO, it would take more than only taking 1 RB and 0 TE in this class. While I question if he will end up a Vol, I sure hope it works out for the kid. I REALLY hope he did not de-commit from ole miss thinking he had a sure spot at UT and then it proves that was not the case(think Shelley situation).

I don't think there is any question that Harrell has a spot in this class. He is very talented and we will definitely take another guard.

Our rb prospects are too good not to take two. I agree with te though.

Guys are wrong one te. Have we learned nothing. If u take 0 and one or two get hurt next year people will gripe we should have taken one. Also I do not want to look back after last year class graduate and we have true sophmore and freshmen again. It's time start building solid depth at every position and stop this nonsense of always seeing freshmen and sophomore on the field it has been way too often past 5 years but I guess everyone has forgotten

Leave recruiting and spots to coaches. According to you we will sign nobody because of so called limited spots to avoid hurting feelings. Harrell is a take look at the damn offer list.

This staff will take one TE each class.

I doubt the coaches go off of offer lists. There have been ALOT of recruits with loaded offer lists UT staffs have passed on in the last few years. Of course they will sign kids in this class. CBJ said they will sign between 18-22 in the 2015 class.

Could they take Harrell? Sure they could. Just have to decide where to take a spot away. Maybe it's QB, or DL, or WR. We'll see.

Then quit speaking as if its a fact in every thread that we won't take a kid. I have yet to see anyone you think we will take. They want 4-5 OL. We will take Harrell all day so quit claiming our staff is a bunch of liars that mislead kids when there are zero facts to prove your accusations in your twisted numbers nightmare

Actually I can speak as to anything I like. Anytime I mention there being limited spots at a given position, I say they could take more there, it would just take spots away somewhere else. It's pretty clear to me you can't take the kids already committed, plus 2 QBs, 2 RBs, 3WRs, 4-5OL, 5-6DL, 4LBs, and so on as some claim at each position. It just does not the class size stated by CBJ. You claiming they WANT 4-5OL may be correct. Of course we all know in recruiting even coaches don't always get what they want.

As for our coaches misleading kids, that is a given. another thing that is part of recruiting. Hopefully our staff does not take it too far. I like to think being as honest as possible is best.

My personal opinion is we will be fine at TE after this year.

Wolf, Helm, Branisel and Stocstill is fine with me. If something happens, you could always move someone like King, Bynum, Jumper, Creamer, Hill or Barnett there.

I just dont think we are in on a quality TE, and dont think its worth it to just take an average kid who will likely never see the field

At one point last year he said 30. But we signed 32 plus gray shirted Dews.

So because he was off by 2 once we should just automatically pencil in 2 more sure spots each year going forward?

I'll admit part of me hopes this staff starts to develop some of the talent on campus VS just looking to turn it over each year. The fact we have walk-ons playing better than some 3-4* talent leads me to think just cutting every kid loose who has not been named All SEC to date would be a bad idea.

We'll see how it goes. CBJ said 18-22 and we have not lost anyone yet. (Pig is still a ?). Once 6-7 kids decide to leave UT, maybe I will agree the class could be closer to 25. Losing a dozen kids in a year is no small thing.

No. But because he says 18-22 doesnt mean thats 100%. You have started taking things to literal lately. What if he wants to blueshirt or grayshirt kids again? You never know. Youre too focused on who we might not take instead of being excited about who we might be taking. Everytime we find out we lead for a kid, youre like "oh crap, who do we have to drop from the team" lol.
