I'll admit part of me hopes this staff starts to develop some of the talent on campus VS just looking to turn it over each year. The fact we have walk-ons playing better than some 3-4* talent leads me to think just cutting every kid loose who has not been named All SEC to date would be a bad idea.

We'll see how it goes. CBJ said 18-22 and we have not lost anyone yet. (Pig is still a ?). Once 6-7 kids decide to leave UT, maybe I will agree the class could be closer to 25. Losing a dozen kids in a year is no small thing.

If walk ons are beating thos kids, they should be on a different roster anyways. Losing those dozen kids won't hurt if they were never going to play in the first place

Youre taking things too literal again. What if he was talking about the LBs since Colton Jumper is working his way into the mix. Or what if he was talking about the DBs since Swafford got playing time last year.

We have not lost 1 kid yet. IMO it's tough for the number to change when no one has left. What if 3-4 kids leave over the next 2 months and they were all kids CBJ expected to loose 3 months ago. The number would still be the same. 8 kids have to go to take 20. 2, 3, 4 leave and that does not mean the # changes. We'll see how it plays out.

Obviously I'm excited about who I think we sign. I have made several class predictions as I am sure you have noted. Just because I don't fall in line and agree that we WILL take every kid UT "leads" for does not make me the bad guy.

I'm not so concerned about "who we lead for" as I don't think the coaches base who is "processed" from the current roster by that. If I had to guess they have a board of 20-50 kids they like and would be possible takes. 10-15 or so being takes anytime. When a current kid decides to end his UT days, maybe another is added to the possible take list. Do I think the staff would take 25 commitments from kids today? No I do not. You don't take kids without knowing if you have a place for them.

Lol.. its been like 3 weeks. You dont lose everyone in 3 weeks. Pig is gone. Most of the guys will leave later in the year. Some of the Juniors might graduate early and decide no to pursue football anymore because they still hadnt played. Family members might get sick. Some kids might not make the grades. Some might go to the draft early. Guys like Carr might not like the position changes and decide to transfer. There are so many factors. There are always loses.

I meant it's ironic that the guy that harps on numbers so much that he changed his avi to a calculator made a statement about someone talking about numbers.

There will be attrition from guys we didn't expect. Look at the pig situation. things happen. I'd bet this class ends up in the 22-25 range.

I really don't have an issue with asking guys to look around at transfers if you didn't recruit them. I wouldn't want the security of my job to rest with guys that Dooley recruited.

When did I say there would be no loses? Never. If we sign 20 kids, we lost 8.

I agree, there are a lot of "mights". Of course a lot of those "might" not happen.

I think people believe the #'s issue somehow affects my life. I can assure you it does not. I like discussion. That's all.

Of course attrition will happen. I have never once said it would not. It's JMO that those swearing it will be complete attrition(CBJ will process as many current Vols as he can to make room in 2015) is the debate.

You just beat the same dead horse too much. It's a skill Bruin perfected ... and used far too often. A few threads in the RF have volumes of Bruin's endless/mindless crap. Unfortunately, people just kept arguing with him.

Sometimes you need to let an argument go and move on. There doesn't have to be winner and a loser.

And hey ... we're all just guessing anyway. :)

Any chance Harrell commits this weekend at the O&W game?

Harrell has told me every time we have talked that he wants to commit on his birthday in July. Now, I also know that Tennessee has a pretty good lead here and would like to see it done sooner rather than later so we will see.

Some of y'all might consider this star-gazing but 247 doesn't even have this guy in the top 30 of OGs. Why do y'all think he's a high quality talent when it seems as if we are in on higher ranked talent? Just curious.
