'15 GA OLB Quarte Sapp (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Callahan

Crystal Ball picks: Tennessee 91%, North Carolina 5%, Miami 5%

Tennessee has been the heavy favorite to land the 6-foot-1.5, 200-pound Sapp on the Crystal Ball since hosting him for one of its junior days in March. But he still seems to be taking his time with his decision, even with National Signing Day now less than four weeks away. Sapp is scheduled to take his first official visit to Tennessee next weekend, and he recently has indicated that Miami, Michigan State and Missouri also are still in the picture. Texas A&M is among the other teams that have shown interest in him.

Tennessee still is believed to be the favorite to land Sapp, although a few other teams remain in the picture, and his trip to Knoxville this weekend could be an important one as the Vols look to add him to their class.

Aka, unless we miss on a few, likely lost his spot

They were saying the same thing about Newsome for weeks and then the WR the other day said they are going all out for him. I think they are just speculating based on the current numbers situation.

Everything I've read suggests Thig and Jancek really want to land Sapp and he has a spot saved at this point.

I can confirm 100% that as of this moment he has NOT committed to Tennessee. He is on campus and meeting with coaches and is really enjoying his trip, but has yet to commit.
