15 GA OLB/RB Eric Swinney

A minute if his highlight film? My god, you think because he ran over a few people in high school that makes him a physical. He would be a very low end SEC running back when it comes to physicality and power I can promise you that. He is more shifty than anything.

What's he supposed to do? Not run over them?

hes a Vonn Bell or Ridgeland fan IMO. he started 1 recruit thread and it was a kid from Bell's HS

Ridgeland fan. I also started the Bell thread and many people swore he was trash until he got a bunch of offers and a high ranking and then everyone swore he was a God. The truth is as much as I hyped him, I never though he was quite 5 star caliber and still don't. I'm allowed to give my opinion on players. Personally I think racean thomas , nick chubb , and Eric Swinney are significantly over hyped and overrated. Swinney though, the LEAST of the 3.

Edit: went back and watched his highlight film and he doesn't even appear physical on it,of course I already knew he wasn't because I have actually seen him play. He has very good lateral quickness and decent top end speed. I don't see much sensational about him though.

I'm saying he doesn't shy away from contact. I didn't call him a power back. He CAN be a physical runner, though.

And you seeing him in person doesn't make you anymore qualified to give your opinion on the guy. Keep on, though.

Not necessarily seeing him person, but at least watching real game tape will give you a better idea than just watching highlights. I just don't get the qualities that make this kid a top 5 or top 10 national RB.

I also think he's rated pretty high too. I'm not disagreeing with that.

I just watched the Georgia rising seniors game and he was clearly the best rb in the game. I'd say that qualifies as watching an entire game tape. There is a difference between having an opinion and having an agenda. You clearly have an agenda against him.

Not at all. I simply made the point that neither him or Bell are very physical players, so him running over bell was nothing to write home about.

LOL at Chubb and especially Roc Thomas being overrated.

If you thought Tre Mason was a badass in AU's system, wait til Roc totes the rock.

Roc will be hell on wheels at AU.

“I want to get a decision in before my senior year. But it might be tough to do that, from where I am right now,” said Swinney, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 93 overall player and No. 9 running back in the 247Sports Composite, which equally weighs prospect rankings and ratings from major recruiting media outlets.

“There’s no leaders right now. It’s just that top group — Florida State, Auburn. Georgia’s in there, too, and Tennessee and Ole Miss.”

“I mean, the atmosphere (at Tennessee) was crazy. The fans were crazy, out at 8 in the morning just partying, tailgating. It was pretty cool,” Swinney said. “They’re heading in the right direction. I see the way they’re recruiting and everything, and they’re heading in the right direction trying to build up the program.”

On Gillespie:

“He talks to me a lot,” Swinney said. “(He says) that he wants me to come play for Tennessee and everything and that I’m a perfect fit in their offense. He just really wants to coach me really bad.”

UT and Miss are prob top 2 with the other 3 trailing

I'm going to keep reminding you all that every recruiting event that I've been to (with Swinney in attendance) he has spent the majority of the time trying to recruit other guys to UT. He loved his visit, said he loved it here and couldn't wait to get back. He and Chris Williams were talking about how much they loved Ole Miss, but how boring and ugly the town/area was. They stayed too hype at Tennessee, and that's just the way they like it.
