I think that's being overstated. It's like most supposed "package deals." They would like to play together, but it won't ultimately be a factor in the decision making process

they say it almost everyday on twitter. Lammons, Lane and Wilson were a package deal where it was a factor in the decision making process... they did all commit to the same school on the same day

Says the Vols have dropped out of top group for now because we have not reached out to him in a long while. He said occasionally we will message him on Facebook but no calls or visits. Says he can't remember the last time he spoke with us. Clemson is recruiting him the hardest, but is intrigued by the Oregon offer. Has sprained his ankle 4 times since season started so hasn't played much.

Clemson and Georgia have both had an open date. I have faith that the staff will definitely get caught up with recruits once ours come.

I don't think so. I think he stays in state. Also Griffin and Patrick are very different style backs. IMO Swinney and Weber are our best options as of now. Alot of time left for others to emerge as possibilities for RBs in the 2015 class.

Man I hope we get Griffin and Swinney! Can you imagine Griffin, Swinney, Paulk, and Hurd as our 4 backs! Wow, and Griffin is perfect for the offense Butch wants.

Griffin has been bumped 28 spots in the new 247 2015 player rankings. He's now the #21 player overall and is rated a 98, 5*.

Did Griffin in fact make it to Knoxville on Saturday? Saw where he was listed as an unofficial visitor. Haven't read anywhere about his experience. I'm fishing for another "insane" tweet to get my hopes up.

Edit: dang, I just looked up his twitter handle and he didn't go the game. Take it that he's a long shot for us

Vols in the hunt. Need to get these kids on campus!

When asked what was one school Griffin is interested in seeing more of he replied “Tennessee.”
“I really want to see what they are doing up there,” he said.
Griffin says there is no timeframe on a decision, “it will be just kind of when it happens,” he said.
When asked which schools are recruiting him the hardest he replied, “probably Clemson, Oregon and UGA.”
