Maybe you have a different definition of manhandled, but In my observation Justin Coleman was the most physical CB we had. A great tackler as well. He just COULD NOT cover anyone. Which is horrible if you're playing CB.
He was a safety, a smaller athletic safety. He was playing out of position.
But I never saw WR's block him into oblivion or seen him get trucked by rb's and any other ball carrier.
I hear this. Randolph and McNeil have been soldiers for us but Kelly and Berry are just flat out more talented.
I really want both Soph Safeties starting even though I know that won't happen.![]()
I bet if he is a shut down corner, CJJ will scheme around lack of physicality and give him only secondary run support. D. Sanders played a whole career an only had about 3 tackles!
Not that he can cover like Sanders!!😁

Never say never. All it would take is an injury and then one of those guys gets a chance and never relinquishes it.
But Todd got a ton of playing time. i expect Evan to be used at nickle some, and rotating a good amount with Brian. Or even on the field the same time in certain packages. Not to mention starting kick returner.
I also anticipate Martin helping us there as well. Kick returner.
The eye-opener for me was when Kelly made that pick on the sideline with one foot in bounds. Happened late last season. We haven't had a safety who could make that play in quite some time.
He was even surprised he had made that pick. (Against Vandy). Was so bang bang neither he nor the coaches pushed for it to be reversed to an interception...until after TV replay caught it...just pure natural instinct and football intelligence...and he got :victory: feet in BTW.
