'15 JUCO CB Justin Martin (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Never understood the fascination of recruiting a kid that plays one position to play a different position. We need bigger CBs and Martin fits the bill.

Like Eric Berry? Your highschool position isn't always your best position once u get to a big boy school.

What I don't understand is why ppl act like changing positions is a big deal. It's football.. It happens all the time.

I think Berry was rated the #1 CB in the nation as a HS SR. He did play a lot of QB for his HS team as well as CB, but he was never going to play QB in college and he knew that.

Eric Berry actually played safety in HS. He just ran a 4.3 at a rivals camp and shut everybody down.

FWIW, his girlfriend will be attending UT this fall, per one of his high school teammates who I am friends with. He put it at 75% he ends up a vol.

Perfectly aware of that. Wasn't even the topic of debate. The topic of debate is making assumptions as to what position a high school kid is going to play in college before his senior year starts(or in Martin's case junior college assuming he's eligible next year) based solely on weight. It's an asinine line of thinking.
