First off, Isnt McDowell a SS, and he would not be here till next year and probably weigh more then that by then....If hes that fast, theres no reason he cant play both and add depth.....He may end up being better then both kelly and cortez, nobody knows....

Never understood the fascination of recruiting a kid that plays one position to play a different position. We need bigger CBs and Martin fits the bill.

I understand this, but im saying if hes the 3rd or 4th best CB, but he may be the 2nd best FS.....why cant he learn both positions and be a contributor if called upon....So what ur saying is dont play the best athletes on the field....O-lineman move around all the time....Our DEs and DL are interchangeable....whats the problem with a 3rd string CB learning the FS position is he has the talent...

If he's not seeing the field because of the position being stacked, I wouldn't have a problem with him playing FS. I'm just hoping Butch going after Martin and Abernathy means he is addressing the size issue we are dealing with at the CB position. A lot of SEC teams have big WRs on their roster. And we need guys who can come in during those situations and match up with those types of WR.

He's an elite CB prospect. Don't know what your mind is on. He'll come in and push to start not be 3rd string......

I know hes good...geez people....God forbid UT doesnt play the best players if he doesnt win a starting CB position....just leave him on the bench then....He may be better then Sutton anfd moseley this year, but what about next year with another year in the scheme under their belts...Im just saying, why not ....why cant he learn the FS position also??????? It was an ideal... So your saying if our starting FS gets hurt and the 2nd team FS is not good then UT should leave him on the bench and just keep getting burned all day??? So i imagine your opposed to the better CB athletes not learning the FS position if their not starters???? ALL IM SAYING IS IF HES NOT A STARTER, THEN WHY NOT TEACH HIM THE FS POSITION ALSO TO HELP GET YOUR BETTER ATHLETES ON THE FIELD IF NEEDED!!!! :good!:

Gaulden and Evan Berry as combo style players will fill that void if necessary. You do know Randolph is a junior right? I doubt he'll come in and beat him out.
