Sounds good.

But it makes me nervous and uneasy when people speak in certainties/absolutes when it comes to recruiting.

Justin Martin was a 2014 prospect out of Nashville Overton who had to take a detour to Northeast Oklahoma A&M Junior College. Remember a year ago when the discussion who was the best prospect in the state Jalen Hurd or Josh Malone? If Justin Martin would have had his academics in order this time last year, analysts would have been discussing Martin in the same breath as Malone and Hurd. He is that good of an athlete. Martin is 6"2" 190 lbs and projects at cornerback even though he excelled at running back in college. Coaches think he has lockdown corner ability in the SEC. I think it will be Tennessee or Ole Miss for Martin.

Good to see the staff looking out for some of these young men (Martin, DJ) hopefully they repay CBJ with their LOI.

Looks like Martin will do just that. I'd love to hear DJ plans to do the same. Being in that MS Juco, I just don't feel good about it.

At least we know they have a pipeline JUCO now, though. I expect Jones and the staff will be doing a lot more business with this Northeastern Oklahoma place in the future. It doesn't really get much better than a JUCO coached by a guy who won a National Championship as a GA at Tennessee.

"I like the Volunteers a lot," Martin said. "I like the stadium, the crowd, the atmosphere and their top-notch facilities. It's just a good school in general."

Martin says he plans on attending a camp at Tennessee before he returns back to school later in the summer. The cornerback is on track graduate in May of 2015.

It's a serious question. I don't see how he was supposed to be in the 14 class, yet he's a 15 Juco. I thought you had to spend two years at Juco?

I don't think two years is mandatory, that's what it takes to get the degree. Some kids might need the full 2 years to improve their grades if they were pretty bad. He just graduated high school with 5 to play 4, so he will play one year at JUCO before enrolling at UT with 4 to play 3. That's how I understand it anyway.
