'15 JUCO CB Justin Martin (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Haha. That bear one is good. Add him to the raccoon ones, and they are damn funny.

Ok so another possible mis-read quote of this young man...

In the recruiting tweets only thread he said something about supporting the team win or lose... so im going back to english class days here and correct me if im wrong, but it would be a double negative... You CANT say fans DON't support the team win or lose.. therefore the negatives cancel out and the phrase is saying "ut fans DO support the team win or lose"

did i read that correctly?

I think thats right. man, late night drinking while working on school and catching up on recruiting... bad idea. I might swing back by here in the morning to confirm

"The junior college cornerback is likely the number two ranked junior college target for the Vols behind DJ Jones and while Ole Miss is in the hunt right now as well, Tennessee will seemingly be tough to beat for anyone for Martin."

So D Mathews said UT wants 2 cbs this class....looks like he'll be one of them.

Bump, anything new on this guy, and what do some of y'all think about his recruitment? Is he a take? I think he could start immediately unless Evan has a phenomenal breakout season like Sutton last year

So is this guy no longer a take? I thought he was the best CB prospect that we were in on.

We really need this guy. He should be one of the top 5 prospects on our board behind Richmond, Phillips, and Tuttle. He has three years to play and he definitely has the potential and tools to be an lock down corner and a star during his college career. The fact that he has offers from Florida and LSU lets you know how good of a DB he is, as they have been two of the most consistent programs for DBs in the nation over the past decade. Him and Sutton would be a filthy combo. Then throw in Gaulden, Miller, Moseley, McDowell, the Berrys, Kelly, Griffin, and you have one of the most athletic and physical secondaries in the country.

Not trying to stir anything, but I seem to remember reading that there may have been some academic concerns with Martin that caused the staff to cool a bit. Does anyone else recall?
