'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

I'm not a cyber coach so I won't speculate about the National CHampionship.

CBJ recruited Croomster at Cincin, so the transition for him was REALLY smooth. I wasn't good with sending my son that far up north, and look what happened? Worked out anyway.....

Now as far as signing with this staff or previous.... easy choice..... because although we were well established with the previous staff; it never had a bearing on UTK. I tell ALL kids, especially my son, be sure to be comfortable in your environment. We came to UTK knowing that the coaching change was a possibility, but we loved Knoxville, and Volnation more than any other fanbase. I've always been very vocal about that. There's no place like Neyland.. and we visited quite a few schools.... none compared, and I felt good signing with Jason to come to UTK..... the relationships were a bonus.

Some things about Knoxville will NEVER change... the passionate fans is what keeps UTK going forward.

PS: I read a post about Azzanni not being a good coach..... that's crazy as hell!!!! the players at whatever previous school was probably not receptive to his " I'm not takin' ur *ish attitude." He's a teaching coach from what I hear from Jason, and if he loves and respects him the way I hear my son talk about him....... BAM he got my vote 110%

Good night

Great info. Great teachers make great coaches. It sounds like Azzani is a great teachers.

Good night

Thanks for stopping by and sharing. Just know that all of us are pulling hard for Jason and crew to put UT back on the map. After that he can take his big bad self to the NFL and whip up on Richard Sherman and friends. Would love to see Sherman's expression if and when Jason lined up across from him. lol.

Bama has 10 5 star RBs

You'd think so the way tidewarrior talks. He brings info, and I don't dislike him, but he just had a half a page post about how kamara was a #2-3 RB at Bama then had to get a knee scope then went to being much farther down the depth chart. BUT, he'd be a top two back anywhere in this league.

You come in and compete. You earn the playing time which allows you to make an impact. I'm sure that's the way it is everywhere.

No way richt pulls out his bible then feeds some one a line. And to your comment yes I am sure to a degree you are right but when you portray your self in a better light u need to back that up with your actions

Quick question. I am trying to upload a photo from my phone. I go into attachments and upload the photo. After that it shows up under current attachments with remove right next to it. But how do I post the attachment? It doesn't give me that option.

I think at that point you close the window in which you attached the pic and then hit submit reply in the window where you type your message. I hope that is right.

Why would he leave Bama and go to UGA if he wants immediate PT? He'd be going into the exact same situation depth-chart wise. That is what makes no sense to me. Both of them are overly stacked at RB in comparison to Tennessee and the majority of the rest of the SEC.

Maybe he's not going to UGA. :)

He wouldn't have much of a shot at immediate playing time here either.

He didn't leave purely because of the depth chart. He didn't have a good relationship with Burton Burns, their RB coach. He was recruited by Kirby Smart, but when things weren't going as well as expected over the summer/fall, he didn't really feel comfortable with his position coach. Not playing can stress a relationship with a coach, and when that relationship doesn't really exist in the first place, it really makes it tough.

That's why a lot of people think UGA makes sense for Kamara. He has a long-standing relationship with Bryan McClendon, who would be his position coach. There's a comfort level there that didn't exist at Bama.

I'm sure UT is pushing a seemingly more appealing depth chart and that's probably also appealing to Kamara.

Better relationship. AKA...

Kamara is on another level from Scott IMO, based on high school film anyway. Hurd is the only one who would challenge him for carries.

AK is a year older and has trained at another high level SEC school for a year.. I'd say he's more ready than DS right now.

I agree with both of you guys. Kamara is a damn good back. And I'm a HUGE fan of Scott's so that isn't a slight to him at all. If we can in fact land Kamara look out. Coupled with our WR arsenal, D-coordinators are gonna have nightmares for years trying to gameplan for our O.

Right now, yes. But this fall Kamara will be playing at a JUCO and Scott will be at UT. Who knows how they will develop over the fall and what the competition would be like in a year.
