And Hurd isn't a Fr? Lol ok. I acknowledged that last year we did good there health wise. You're always a twisted ankle or banged up knee away.. Our depth isn't good enough to RS both. Do you seriously not remember having to play Q Watson meaningful snaps? Also, the Kamara transfer wasn't solely about depth chart.

What happened to Q? I know hw left but to where? He would have been a good back.

Kamara will find field wherever he goes but it's easier path at TN in our offense with his versatility. You can move Kamara all over the field in more of a special weapon role like Abernathy was at Cincy and now Pig and Devrin will be this year. You could see Hurd/Kamara or Scott/Kamara on field at same time.

My guy for 2013 class at RB. Just come on home Kamara. Kid will eat in this offense. And he's a better talent than any RB not named Hurd at UT. No slight to anyone either. This kid will be devastating in a spread offense if used right.

I think that Ron Swanson posted that he would enroll in January 2015, and he would have 3 years to play 3 seasons.

Therefore, he'd be the equivalent of a sophomore next year.

He, Hurd, Paulk and Scott for 3 years.

I don't think we have enough depth right now for anyone to redshirt at RB. Whether it be special teams, late game plays, or injuries I think all of your RBs see the field this year at least for the game experience.

Alvin Kamara RB, 5-11/205, Norcross, Ga.

It's the second time the Vols will make a run at Kamara after initially pursuing him when he came out of high school in 2013. Now, as a junior college back at Hutchison Community College in Kansas, Kamara is looking to rebound after one year at Alabama and its loaded backfield. Kamara visited Tennessee last weekend and although he hasn't talked about his visit some close to his recruitment said it went well.

What helps Tennessee in this situation is his close friendship with current Vols Ryan Jenkins and Jason Croom, but he's also close with several players at Georgia as well. Right now, this is shaping up to be a 'Dawgs vs. Vols battle, but it's still early.
