'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Allow me to break this up with a joke to lighten to mood.

A walk walks into a thread.

He immediately realizes what a huge waste of time it would be, and promptly exits the thread.

... its funny because its true

Have all you math wizards considered the variable that the guy who tackled him may be faster?

Did that blow your mind?

Do you even geometry bro? Your post doesn't make sense. :rtfm:

Hurd stiff arms an OU linebacker, slowing him down slightly near the Tennessee 40 yard line.

Eventual tackler is at UT 44 yard line running full speed.

^^^This.

DB had an angle dude. Why don't you understand that? By your logic no one fast would ever get tracked down.

Correct. Plotting the correct intercept point often is more critical than outright speed. Fast-forward to the 1:01:00 mark of this film clip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43kzrd_PUSo) and see how Erik Ainge made a touchdown-saving bump on an interception return by Alabama cornerback Simeon Castille. I don't believe that anyone will confuse the relative speed of the two players.

I was unaware that my opinion had started 6 pages of mathematical pissing contests, but I'm rather pleased to have caused such a ruckus.

And as an example of a bad angle watch some of L. Mcneils games from last year. He has improved this year

No reason to go back to last year... he took a terrible angle on a slant route that should've been 10 yards instead went for big yards to set up an OK TD. The guy tries hard and is a special teams demon but please... start TK Jr.

TK did start. He can't play every snap though..McNeil will still rotate in.

The people that are delusional are the ones that said this offensive line "would be better, especially in the run game" than last years.

I think that comes from bs vol quest writers put out from the coaches. All we heard about this line is that they are so much more physical and play with a nastiness last year just didnt have. And they are more mobile. That to me translates as well better run blocking
