For a 6'5, 240 pound receiver who had his hands around the ball? Uh, yeah.

Even the announcers said it was a catch he should have made. Their comments indicated it definitely should have been caught. That is a drop. But even the best receivers drop one sometimes, and it is way to early to be on his case this much. Look at Smith, everybody was all over him last year, and then we find out later he played most of the season with two fairly serious injuries. When he has played this year Smith has been pretty good. Let the season play out, Croom just might catch a game winner or two down the line.

Reasonable criticism isn't trash talk, and here on the recruiting forum I see none of the latter (the FF is a different story). It's not hate or 'bashing one of our Vols' to say that he should have caught the ball. Croom would tell you that himself.

Everybody here loves the kid and is rooting like hell for him to succeed. We also wish he would have caught that ball and hope he comes down with the next one.

Isn't Jovon a year older too? I am thinking he was in the class before Kamara but got that academic issue then sat out the year and then showed up in juco last year. I am thinking Jovon will only have 2 years and Kamara will have 3 since he redshirted at bama.

Both are outstanding players in their own right.

I bet Hurd can't wait for someone else to share the load, you could tell his legs weren't quite as solid toward the end of the game, compared to Gurley who got long breaks thanks to chubb and Michel.
