'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

Hopefully he is as impactful as one of the last Hutchinson players we had....

Wishful thinking...there won't ever be another CP. But I definitely hope that he makes a immediate impact. Hurd can't carry the full load for 4 years. Gurley has Michel and Marshall and Chubb. Yeldon has Drake and Henry. Arkansas has several backs. Butch is right. You want a rushing attack in the SEC, you have to have multiple backs that can step in and get it done.

RB's looking bright for the next couple of years. Really need to shore up the Oline. I didn't need to mention the Oline, but it really needs a mention.

Ill say it again...AK is my favorite player this cycle. He is something that we have been missing. He and Hurd will BEAST it next year...well that is if we can get our OL issues fixed!

Here's the bright side I've been looking at-

Our Oline cannot be anything but better next year with how young they are.. Not that that really says much right now, but I'm pretty sure we will see a pretty dramatic improvement.

QB is the only position I'm worried about going forward.

You're right AC. We basically are playing with 3 guards and 2 centers. We just have to have patience with their growing pains along the offensive line. I also am inclined to believe there will be 1 to 2 new faces in that starting lineup and hopefully it will be 2 upperclassmen.

Kamara named NJCAA offensive player of week
just a few seconds ago
Four-star running back Alvin Kamara, a Tennessee commitment from Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College, was named the National Junior College Athletic Association's offensive player of the week on Wednesday.
Kamara earned the award after rushing for 220 yards and accounting for 283 yards of total offense and four touchdowns Saturday in the Blue Dragons' 42-35 win at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College. He also scored the game-winning touchdown on a 12-yard run with 7 seconds remaining.

The 5-foot-10.5, 212-pound Kamara, who has been committed to the Vols since June, is ranked the nation's No. 3 junior-college prospect and No. 2 juco running back in the 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class.

Drake suffered a horrible injury in the Grove Saturday. He gone. But the point is made. Three backs at least.

With the numbers AK is putting up this year, could he earn his 5th star. I mean current 5 stars aren't having this type of year?

Autry's grab put the Blue Dragons perfectly in field goal range, only 17 yards out. Rhoades chose to run one more play to make the potential field goal attempt a little easier, but Kamara changed that idea.

"No. 1 had a different plan. I'm fine with it," Rhoades said. "There were a couple times when Alvin just decided to get it done."

Kamara shimmied 17 yards for a touchdown, putting HCC ahead 42-35 with seven seconds to go.

"Amazing. LeBron James amazing," said HCC defensive end Jeremiah Ledbetter. "He should have his own shirt."

For the night, Kamara ran for 219 yards and three touchdowns, and added 63 receiving yards and a score.

"I played high school ball with Alvin," Autry said. "I can't explain Alvin. He's just a great player. He's a great athlete."

See....I feel guilty.

It's quotes like this that make me wish it was next season already.

Is that Myles Autry who is at HCC with AK? If so, I smell another HCC/Norcross pipeline in 2016 possibly.

It's actually Myles' older brother, Anthony Autry. I was curious about that myself and looked it up.

I don't know where Myles is now. Last I heard was that he asked out of his LOI to Georgia Tech over the summer.
