'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

He's one of my favorite commits of the class, but it won't matter unless someone helps pave the way. Need to fix the oline.

this guy needs to be on campus tomorrow. Hope we can hang on to him. Georgia has to look more appealing.

I would think Nick Chubb and Sony Michel would make UGA look less attractive to a JUCO back looking to play immediately. Chubb is averaging 177.5 rushing ypg in his two starts. The dropoff from Gurley to Chubb won't be as large as many thought.

Im sick of the depth argument. kids want to go where they can win. Georgia looks appealing because they win and all of their tailbacks get looks.

I would be willing to bet a lot of money that Kamara signs with us. He has given absolutely no reason to believe otherwise. None at all.

I simply cannot wait for Kamara to be on campus. He will be a difference maker. Ready to contribute from day 1. Can't. Wait.

I hope he is a combination of barry sanders and Hershel walker if he has any chance of anything behind this offensive line. and I do mean offensive.

So Jalen Hurd picked Tennessee over Alabama, Ohio State, & Auburn, among others, because he wanted to win?

Of course these kids want to win, but if you think depth charts don't play a role with some kids, then you're not being entirely honest with yourself. That is especially true for JUCO kids who don't have time on their side in the same sense a HS senior does.

Dobbs makes the Kamara/Hurd combo even more dangerous

I am guardedly excited about next year's O. The skill positions and presumably QB will be improved, hopefully the OL will be as well. If we can somehow manage to improve or, at least, maintain on D next year could be exciting.

Whole defense will be back outside of Johnson and Williams. Both will be losses but we'll be better on defense if the coaches don't call dumb shxt.....

Don't disagree... with the addition of players like MacKenzie and Tuttle on the DL, as well as Bates, JJ, and other LB's (hopefully Maggit sticks around one more year) improving things should be much better. I'm just used to something bad happening.

Question for you (and anyone else) on the dumb shxt comment... in the first quarter last night I was thinking, "okay, so clearly Kiffin is owning Jancek the way he did in '09." However, in post game, cats like Sutton were talking about all of the miscommunication by the players.

So, do you think that was play calling (i.e. Jancek getting owned), or just a bad quarter/half on the field by the players?

We have been primarily a man team. We've allowed Sutton to follow No.1s. We get a team that throws more to one man than any other team and don't allow one of the best CBs in the country to follow him.
That is what I thought as well. It worked well against Treadwell the previous week. Just one example.

Worse yet, the alternative was to put Justin Coleman on him. Terrible decision.
