'15 JUCO RB Alvin Kamara (UT commit 6/21/14)

We have been primarily a man team. We've allowed Sutton to follow No.1s. We get a team that throws more to one man than any other team and don't allow one of the best CBs in the country to follow him.

Damn BB you and I think alot a like when it comes to what's good football sense. You are right we don't have to be cute in our schemes and play calling.Do what works for us.We need to use the KISS method.Keep It Simple Stupid. It allows the kids to play fast.

I'm pumped about a trio of Hurd, Kamara, and Scott. With Dobbs being a threat to pull the ball and run, our run game will be nasty. Our receivers and tight ends may be the most stacked unit we have ever had. Let that sink in for a minute. If our line steps up, our offense will be deadly. I think they will step up.

And we get pretty much every except AJ back on defense. If Dobbs can have anywhere near the type of finish to this season that we're expecting than I'd be disappointed with any less than 8 wins next year. Tough schedule or not.

Kamara is a stud. I knew there was a reason Saban recruited him. Imagine Hurd, Kamara, Scott in the back field. Wolf, Malone, North, Williams and Newsome on the outside. Dobbs behind center all with an improved OL??

Wow.

Wow.

Even if both Williams and Newsome sign with UT, I highly doubt they will be on the field over Josh Smith and Von Pearson next season. Maybe not even Croom.

Preston Williams is an elite talent and will see the field early & often at UT, but I still think it will take something unbelievable to unseat North, Malone, Pearson, and Smith as the starting WRs in 4-wide sets. JMO.

Pig will be a senior too. Can you say loaded.

Only thing I wish would've happended was he committed to us first and could be helping right now. Lane being injured some and having hurd being the only HB playing right now.

Write a check to Oklahoma and make it 9 gmes. Our schedule is hard enough. Pride be damned nobody will care at the end of the year.

I'll tell you what, the way he accelerates and makes people miss in the open field REALLY reminds me of how Cord Patterson dominated JuCo. Totally different types, but equally special players.

Who's going to write that check? Tennessee ain't! They wouldn't even splurge and send a pep band to Oklahoma...and on top of that give up the money that a home team nets in a marquee game? Alas WAY TOO MANY people will care at the BEGINNING of the season.

Agreed. I'm still pissed about buying out the UNC game. I like that we go out of conference and schedule big games. With the level of competition in the SEC, I'm worried that teams will stop playing top competition out of conference. I'm proud that we still schedule them.

With Dobbs, Hurd, and Kamara we could run some Navy style triple option. Or maybe some Wild Hurd/Kamara read option.

Assuming that we retain all of our staff and our recruiting class finishes strong I think we straight up beat Oklahoma in Knoxville next year. The stadium will be rocking and i'm sure going to try my best to be there to do my part. I guarantee Oklahoma doesn't see anything in the Big 12 that resembles a prime time game at Neyland.

I hope you guys are right about beating Oklahoma. My exact fears were realized in that game earlier in the year. But i do recognize our defense will be much better suited for that game in 2015. Come to think of it, do we actually pay Oklahoma to come to Knoxville? Did they pay us this year? Was it a wash?

Triple option takes too much time to develop IMO. Against the speed and power of SEC defensive fronts, i just don't see this being an effective, championship-style offense in this league.

They get a portion of the gate receipts.

Should have clarified. I meant as a special package. Mix it in a few times a game at certain moments. Catch the D off guard, since it is never seen in this league.
