I doubt the staff takes a Juco CB this year. After Miller committed the VQ article mentioned the Vol coaches wanted to land (1) lock down CB in 2015 and they felt Miller was the guy. I had figured they would take (2) CBs this year. Maybe Miller is it. As mentioned before Bruce could possibly play CB and would fit the thinking he may not be a top caliber "lock down" guy, but serviceable in the secondary if needed.

We need better than "serviceable." You drop Bruce or make room some other way if you can find someone better than "serviceable." And I am aware of your beliefs about cutting players that have remained loyal during their commitment so we don't need to debate this.

Personally I think CB is on hold until the end of the season. I think CBJ/CWM want to see what they've got in the current freshmen on campus before taking another CB, JuCo or otherwise. That includes Ordway (who would be a much better "serviceable" option than Bruce).

I call Bruce serviceable because he is a better slot WR/RB than a CB. He can play CB if he had to. He is better on offense. If the staff felt they really only needed to add 1 big time CB in 2015, then a guy who could play offense OR slide to CB in a pinch is not a bad thing at all IMO.

I'm not thrilled with taking both Woods and Bruce. I won't be sad if one of them finds a new home. Personally I think Woods is the better prospect and I would rather see him moved to CB if we were in a bind. Hopefully he gets his grades in order.

We have plenty on offense. We need true corner backs!

Slide over in a pinch??

He is projected at slot or RB?

We do not have room for guys like that we already taking LS and a P!

I do think Bruce is 100% Vol. I think Woods will be as well, but it may be a couple years later after some Juco time. There seems to be a lot of talk about Woods and grades being a very big issue.

I follow martin on twitter and instagram and I believe the coaches saying they arnt taking anybody with character issues or anything like that may have to do with it, because he posts some pretty bad things

If CBJ accepts his commitment then that must mean Martin is looking someplace else. I hope that's not the case. Big corners with Martin's speed don't come around all the time.
