Helton hit a wide-open Maryville LB for the interception my junior year at the end of the game in Maryville. Had a wide-open Cruze down the field and didn't see him. Swear it happened in slow-motion...
I was at that game, I was a Freshman. Yeah he threw it right to Tanner Caylor. If he had threw it away, Lones could almost forsure made that FG to at least take it to OT. But that series is history. We just never could get over the Hump and beat them. I wish they would do a Home and Home but im sure the new Central coaches are too afraid to make that call, and they should be
With or without CP, LC has the pieces and experience to make a run at the 5A title, but with that said, I still think Maryville wins that game by at least 2 TDs. It doesn't matter how much talent Maryville graduates - they continue to reload every year, and until that trend changes, even a talented and experienced LC team isn't going to beat them. Plus, LC's defense has to get better if they want to upset a team like Maryville.@volanatic, you have a good point. However, the LC/Maryville game will be a gem to watch. LC didnt lose any of their weapons and Maryville lost everyone except Shawn Prevo so in that area I give LC the advantage. On the other hand, Maryville has the best Coach in Tennessee in George Quarrles. I also think the game this year is @ Maryville and they never lose at home(Im a Central Bobcat, so I know how hard it is to beat Maryville period), home advantage/coaching goes to Maryville. This will be a great game:good!:

Who cares? I just want to see Patrick playing for UT.

What was even worse was when we tackled the Maryville LB he actually fumbled it for a second but it bounced right back to him. To put it lightly, I was pissed after that game. Watched the film that Sunday and there were three open recievers on that play and the pass wasn't close to a single one of them.

I played against Maryville in the Carl Stewart days.. Dude was a beast! If it wasn't for Cadillac, brown, and then Kenny irons, we would've heard his name a lot more on Saturdays.. They ended up putting him at fullback I think.
Per 247, Patrick said he is very solid to Tennessee & he loves everything about his decision. He will take some visits this summer just to have some fun b/c it's a once in a life time chance. Alabama has continued to send him letters & recruit him, he has been hearing from LSU & Florida but they haven't offered yet. He said he is 215lbs right now & recently ran a 4.45 40.
