'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

Per 247, Patrick said he is very solid to Tennessee & he loves everything about his decision. He will take some visits this summer just to have some fun b/c it's a once in a life time chance. Alabama has continued to send him letters & recruit him, he has been hearing from LSU & Florida but they haven't offered yet. He said he is 215lbs right now & recently ran a 4.45 40.

Didn't realize he was that big. That's DR big. Hope the grades thing doesn't turn out to be an issue. I worry about that more than losing him to another school.

Rumor has it that grades are a very big issue. I hope he can make it in academically because everyone that I've talked to says that Patrick is a great kid off the field.

With the recent commits of Smith and possibly Comas, it seems as though we are trying to get some insurance in case Cam doesn't qualify.

I don't think he'll be a part of this class. Just speculation, though. Maybe Skeeter or OCI could help us out with some info.

I've posted some stuff regarding his "handler" and OrangeHammer has info about that situation too. I am still not believing he's "100% committed" or whatever. He's taking his OVs and is still listening to Alabama and other schools.

I want him but at this point I also do not think he ends up being a part of this class for one reason or another.

Semi-serious question;

Camion Patrick is a beast on the field, but a bust in the classroom? If so, can VN tutor him through the rest of high school legally per ncaa criteria. No pay. Just Volunteer tutors?

What say ye VN? Any clue?

Michael oher says you can probably get a car and funnel him to the uni of your choice too

I actually now think Camion is pretty solid to UT, and more so his "handler" that wants him to suit up in Crimson. Regardless of where he ends up, I HIGHLY doubt that he will enroll. So much talent has came up in Clinton just to fall face first because of classroom issues/criminal issues. Would have loved to see Scottie Whitt or Jermaine Shephard play with the big boys.

would the coaches actually take him even tho it seems like everybody thinks he doesnt qualify?

It really dosen't matter what anyone thinks except the staff. Camion has said the problem is the ACT score , but most believe he has more problems than just that. The staff and Patrick are the only people who know the truth. Eddie Lacy got in school. Anything is possible. They may have plans if he doesn't qualify to get him out of JuCo. Of course all of us are hoping he doesn't have to go there first.

That is awesome. I hope he gets the grades in order. Great prospect.

I agree. I will be highly sueprised if he doesn't go up in the rankings after this year. Regardless of that, I think he has alot of potential.
