'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

"Just to keep getting better," Patrick said. "I want to keep getting bigger and just keep learning how to be a more complete player. I want to be a better blocker, but more importantly take care of my business in the classroom and off the field."

One concern for Patrick is his academics. He will have to close strong during his senior year to potentially avoid problems with the NCAA clearinghouse. He is fully aware that being lazy on the academic side isn't an option now and he plans on taking care of business.

"I know I've got to focus more," Patrick said. "You have to have your education to get into school. Football is just a sport at the end of the day so you have to have your grades. It's very important. I know what is at stake."

He needs to do really well in the classroom. I'm not sure just a solid year will do it.

Sounds like he's going to need to do REALLY well his senior year to be eligible.

Patrick's early commitment may help him avoid Prep or JUCO. Coaches will be checking in with him on a constant basis, and help is lined up to insure he will be successful in the classroom.

I hope he gets help with some other issues that he might have. (Non-school related)

Do highschools allow a person to take summer classes to retake a class in order to get a better grade?

For some reason, I think highschools used to do this when I was in school.

MY old school would let you, and you received the average of your two scores.

Will he be able to maintain those grades at the college level? Not an easy task.

Not be that guy, but that is totally dependent on your major and work ethic.

For any non-science/math degrees, college is way easier. I can say with absolute certainty that Cam Patrick will not be an engineering major. If you want it to be, which Cam Patrick will, college can be much easier than HS.

Was just about to clarify, but you beat me to it- I'm sure CP won't be taking very taxing courses.
