'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

The only way I imagine this being realistic is if he's staying in JUCO for 2 years and he's a 2016 guy rather than 2015.

Not sure, I would think it would be for this year though. He is going on visits. He just visited Louisville and just picked up a K-St offer.

Yeah I know he's been talking about Indiana and Lousiville, but if you recall, Justin Martin was in a similar situation in 2014.

I can't imagine we revoke Ford's scholly and give one to Patrick.

Could this be the reason we dropped Ford? I know Kelly seems like the obvious reason, but Patrick's offer comes at a strange time when we're fighting with the numbers issue. We already knew we were going after a 3rd back.

I think this offer is a result of Newsome dropping us and an indication Jefferson is most likely out of the picture as well. Would have to think an offer at this stage means they want a 2nd WR in this class and Ford was the casualty. JMO

I guess we struck out with Van Jefferson('s momma) and Newsome, so perhaps this is Azzani getting his 2nd WR?

Give him one of these:

Mostly what I was thinking, but not necessarily at the expense of dropping Ford.

I think the numbers are tight and they are trying to make sure each position group has a sufficient number of seats filled. The DE group seemed to be a little bit heavy, while other groups like WR were/are thin

Rather have Patrick than Jefferson anyway.

The kid's bio on twitter still has #VFL and #Volnation in it. I'd say he is ours if we have offered.

Give him a scholarship and get his ass on the field. f' a blue shirt.

Immense talent

He can get a blueshirt and still play in the fall.

The more intriguing and non-traditional option is blue-shirting. Here’s how I described it an earlier article: “Officially, a player arrives in the summer as a walk-on. Once football practice begins, he’s awarded a scholarship. The school is allowed to count the scholarship forward — against the 2015 class — but the player can play immediately. There’s a big catch: The student-athlete may not have been recruited, as defined by NCAA bylaws. That means no official visit to campus, no in-home visits from coaches, no signed National Letter of Intent or athletic aid.”

Yep, I agree. Ford could be more tied to Kelly than Patrick. Notorious says something happening with Kelly tomorrow, so I'm expecting to hear good news.

This. This guy's high school highlights were crazy. He absolutely destroyed DB's who tried to tackle him.

Actually spoke to a former teammate who is a track athlete at tenn now. Asked him what the deal is on Camion and he said the kid has been all vol since he was a kid and that he heard he's been doing very well in JUCO academic and obviously athletically.

He will be a vol.
