Yep, came in for a visit, Dooley didn't think he was RB material. You know, we were always crushed with Recruits on NSD, especially all those RB studs he brought in
He wants to play rb but the Tenn staff wants him as cb. He hopes this help changes their mind. If they tell him he can play rb he will commit.
Final 4: West Virgina, Louisville, Tennessee, South Carolina.
He says he would prefer to stay close to home.
He wants to be a RB and would commit if his offer was just that. But his offer is for DB so he is still looking
Sure he can...but not at Tennessee....the kid can play he is big time....however as his recruitment has indicated with Tennessee, they are not looking for him to make plays with the ball in his hand offensively or on special teams....
Regarding the Ameer Abdullah situation with Dooley and staff, I have pulled up a little info, for those who weren't tuned it at the time.
A very good poster who worked with athletes down south, JimmyD... who of course got called out for no reason and run off of here said...
Volunteerlane: (He was from AL, so TN was closest)

Career stats at Nebraska... to date...
735 carries 4,227 yards, 37 TD 5.75 YPC.
Thanks Dooley. :hi:
I love it when a Tennessee offer changes everything. Those are the players I want.
"At first, I had offers from other schools, but then I Vols."
A Tennessee offer "changed everything" during Derek Dooley's tenure as well. Mainly bc we were consistently offering players that had offers from colleges like Georgia Southern, Tulsa, Temple, and App. State. We won quite a few recruiting battles against those folks.

Bussey really likes the Vols. So much that he told Nebraska to stop recruiting him. Their fans are melting down the Bugeater boards.
If Bussey comes to UT, what does that mean for Love and Frasier?

Husker fans can shut their pie holes.
Dooley declined Ameer Abdulah and sent Imani Cross packing. The way I see it, they still owe us another RB
It's hard to get a gauge on these RB's they all have great stats and different attributes that make them talented runners.
Rankings wise it is like this
Kamara - Consensus 4*
Frasier - Consensus 4*
Love - top 150 4* Rivals, Top 300 4* ESPN, 4* top 300 247 Comp. 3* 247
Dauphine - top 247 4* 247, 4* ESPN, low 3* Rivals
Bussey - top 100 4* Rivals, low 3* everything else
Reid - 3* Everywhere
I know stars aren't everything, but I haven't seen a group of players we've recruited with such varying opinions on all the sites.
I realize this is a underhanded strategy but I have to wonder if they're having these other backs hold off on their commitments until after the EE dead line to keep Rocky. :loco:
Recent comments by recruiting insiders have me worried about our tailback situation.
It is almost if the UT coaches can't decide on who they want and when.
My fear is that we swing for the fences and miss out on some good players.
