'15 LA RB Kendall Bussey (Former UT commit)

Here's what I don't understand. Why take a third RB like Bruce over Reid? I can understand that Love, Bussey and maybe even Kelly are more dynamic players at least to the staff. If Bruce is a scholarship RB though? I don't see him being a take over Reid as a RB.

I am not opposed to a talented back reopening the coaches eyes and forcing their hand. We can still take Reid plus one like Love/Bussey. I have no issue with Bussey but he's injured and been all over the map recruitment wise. I'd prefer Reid/Love/Kamara.

Agree. These guys on here that make definitive statements as though they're a member of the staff kill me. They're just speculating. Perhaps Reid is no longer in the plans, I guess we'll know pretty soon. But the kid has performed very well all year long and now at the AllStar game he's a part of. We're thin at rb and I'm not sure why it's assumed we're gonna kick him to the curb because we're looking at bring in another "true" rb. I think taking 3 RBs is a viable option.

Over in the Reid forum one of the few, proven insiders on here said the staff was hoping GA would have taken Reid and he won't be part of this class. Also that Bussey is very high on TN and he loves TN. I honestly thought he was A'M bound but supposedly Bussey is the ideal RB the Coach's want for our offense. So with Reid likely gone we could still take Bussey and one more. Guess we will find out Fri or Sat.

I think mainly because Reid has started taking visits again, the VQ guys says they don't see Reid being part of this class and Reid had a comment the other day he didn't know when he would make a decision. So it sounds like Butch is looking to upgrade like they have been doing at other spots too.

I doubt the staff wishes GA would have taken Reid. They may think they want to upgrade but I don't think anyone would want him in the SEC East.

I dunno it's based off a guy who gets his info from the staff and players and has proven to be right so I will go with what he says. But they are recruiting over Reid so no reason not to believe it. Same one said watch Bussey this wknd.

And GA is loaded at RB and have more on the way so he probably would get buried on their depth chart anyway.

I get the upgrade part even if I don't particularly agree with it but I don't believe the staff takes a commitment from a pretty darn good RB and then says 'Man I hope Georgia takes this guy off our hands so we have to play against a guy we shunned every year." But that's just me.

Well that happens every yr. Players get shunned and eventually end up playing. Guess if we are looking to upgrade then with the talent GA has at RB I doubt we would ever seen him get a lot of reps. It may or not be true but if I'm Coach and looking to upgrade him then I don't care where he goes. Jmo though.

Fair enough. I hope we get the guy our staff wants the most whether it's Reid, Bussey, Love, Vaughn or whomever. I'd personally like to see Reid and a third back a part of this class. Kid had a great sr season and highschool career and he seems to be really impressing at the AllStar game he's at this week. I know georgia and some other schools are showing interest and he's looking around a bit too, but he still seems to be Pro-Vols on social media. Guess it's mostly speculation right now.

Same here. I will pull for whoever they want and bring it. They definitely know who they like and need to run their system so no complaints either way. I will say a guy like Bussey or Love bring the elite and homerun type speed and may be looking for different type guys to compliment each other, especially the way they like to use the RB's in the pass game.
