Sounding like a commitment to watch this wknd with the Vols trending for him. I honestly thought all Aggie too and didn't realize this is the guy they want. Sounding like the Coach's are making the decision for Reid.

If he's definitely going to play rb in college do we really need him. We already have a pretty good slate with Kamara and rocky joining. Seems like we'd be better served using that slot in a oline.

If he commits to us then i think we lose Reid, or start telling reid to look elsewhere. I really like reid to. We really need a spot for OLine.

I see he is making his announcement Friday. what made you say he is trending towards us, a cb prediction?

He was already considered an EE read back to all the sites and you will find the info about this kid. It's easy to see whats going on. He may be a last minute take who knows!

There are several potential factors at play regarding early enrolling....

1. You don't enroll early at the last minute, i.e. your last semester or even year of highschool. It typically takes some long term academic planning.
2. During any given year, we only have so many EE spots available. For example, we had 18 EE spots last year vs only 8-10 or so this season.
3. Not all highschools will allow student to graduate early so they can EE to college. For example, TKJr didn't EE last year in part because Webb doesn't allow it. Perhaps Reid's highschool doesn't either.

The fact that Reid isn't EEing doesn't mean the coaches have given him a roadmap and an apple. Do you have other solid info that confirms the staff has cut bait with Rocky?

I do understand about EE. My solid info comes from Hubbs, Fort and other sites. Just going off what they report. He's been committed for quite awhile and was thought to EE whole time. He just stated he may have to wait to EE. Also look around. Hubbs and Fort has stated
a number of times he's not a take. Just what iv'e read.

INteresting opinion. Pretty sure i disagree. If you think about it, we go into 2015 with Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara as RB's right now.

Consider for thought that through this season, we have not had a single RB that did not miss some time, except for Justus Pickett and Deanthone Summerhill.

Currently we have Rocky Reid and now Jocquez Bruce committed to be RB's(Bruce was told by Butch to add weight because he would start at RB). This roster could handle 2 more RB's in this class if they are the right RB's.

We will know on Bussey tomorrow, from what i understand. We still have a chance with Love, Frasier and Kelly from Michigan. I sday no matter what Bussey does, i would love to get two more backs.

Only thing I remember was a knee sprain from this quote:

I talked to Bussey Sr. on Sunday night about Kendall Jr.'s injury, which was a knee sprain that may or may not need operating on at the time, and he didn't mention anything about KJ (Kendall Jr.) shutting it down.

I talked with our guys at the Nebraska site this morning and they are the ones that broke the news and here's the quotes KJ gave them:

"I'll be signing with Nebraska in February. It's all over, I'm done. That's it. I won't be taking any other visits or talking to other coaches or anything like that. It's over."

This has been a weird recruitment since Tennessee got involved and I'm not sure what happened as I think the family was planning on a flip after the season and had communicated that with Tennessee.

But, with the injury, the Vols officially taking a senior transfer next year and other things, maybe both parties decided to part ways.

That's of course from nearly a month ago. The kid wants to play in the SEC it seems though. I think we probably could have him if we wanted although maybe he might be upset we have kind of slow played him.

Strained his ACL:

Newman running back Kendall Bussey Jr. listed as 'questionable' for Division III quarterfinals game with knee injury - NOLA.com

“The ligament is stretched. It could be old or it could be a new injury. (Doctors) don’t know,’’ Bussey Sr. said. “(The MRI) did show a little darkness or discolorization (of the ligament) which could mean it’s a partial tear. But (the doctors) don’t know.

“There is no swelling or anything like that,’’ Bussey Sr. said. “There’s no damage to the cartilage and no damage to the MCL (medial collateral ligament) or the PCL (posterior cruciate ligament). (Doctors) said he could play with a brace.
