'15 LA RB Kendall Bussey (Former UT commit)

I can't believe I wasted a perfectly good Anchorman pants-tent gif in this argument thread. You all should be ashamed.

FWIW...

The VQ guys have insinuated that Fraisier is at the top of the RB recruiting pecking order.

VQ also recently said that Love and "the kid from Texas" were at the top of the board. Obviously it's very fluid and VQ is playing catch up like the rest of us, but Johnny Frasier opening things back up and wanting to take multiple visits are huge. The whole talk of "card trading mode" that Hubbs referenced a few weeks ago is starting to make more sense with Bussey coming into the picture.

I'd be happy with any combo of those guys. But if I got to pick 3 from that group the last spot would be a tough call because they're all different types of back. I know I'd take Karmara and Frasier but the last one im not sure about between Love, Vaughn, and Bussey. I like Love's speed but smaller backs don't seem to succeed as often in this league, but I think he is one of the ones who will succeed. I like vaughns game a lot, he runs tough with good balance and has great cutting ability but doesn't have the best top end speed. I like Bussey a lot as well, he kind of reminds me of Bishop Sankey coming out of HS.

I would go with Love. This allows you to recruit his teammate Dexter Lawrence, the 5* Junior DT as well as the highly rated SOPH DE.

One thing about Bussey is that he is an excellent receiver out of the backfield which is considered to be one of Love's weak points.

See it was going well...then your hate engulfs you...it's a weakness. You have the right to not value a player...by all means express it...where you fail is in portraying opposing viewpoints as WORSHIPPERS or the equivalent of Beatles fans towards him. We think he's an excellent player...you disagree...you don't have to be such an ass in expressing that.

Did we just become best friends?

i would take both. Lawrence by the way has a brother thats a fr who is a rb along with Love believe it or not. kid may be a big time recruit as well down the line.

I'm sure some of the people who wanted us to sign TG would find this post rather ironic given some of your posts in his thread.

ETA:I completely agree with your post though.

Bussey is one heck of a RB IMO. I would take this kid any day of the week. Kamara, Bussey and Reid would be a home run!

Switch Frazier with Reid and its a grand slam. I like Reid as well and I'd be very happy with that group but I prefer Frazier and possibly Vaughn. I have not seen Reid's senior highlights that people keep talking about yet though. Apparently he looks more explosive this year and if that's the case my opinion could change. I can't find them so if anyone has the link I'd really appreciate the help.

It probably reads that way...I really tried not to get personal in stating that TG wasn't a fit...I responded to some people that criticized my viewpoint with a little too much vigor...you will concede that there's a difference in discussing a committed versus a noncommitted (a QB with original plans to wait until NSD or beyond) prospect?

Talked to Kendall Bussey Jr. tonight and we just went over his offer and his visit. Said the visit was good, he was really surprised by the fans on Saturday night and that they stayed for the whole game despite the Vols getting down early.

He admitted he didn't learn too much new stuff because he's always been a fan of the program and he has always kept up with them and has done his research.

The Tennessee offer could certainly be a game changing one if the Vols push hard and they may certainly do that.

As for an official visit, look for him to take it after his season as he wants to try and win a state championship and would rather spend more time with the coaches and the players. Full story coming in the AM. That one and the Bryce Love story will both be up tomorrow.

Here is an interesting rhetorical question: When all is said and done, is it possible that Tennessee's recruiting haul for running backs will be as good as its crop of defensive tackles in the 2015 class?

Wow havent thought about that. I think the RB position translates quicker to the college game, but our DT haul could be starting for D1 schools right now. If we pull Frazier and keep Kamara, I would say yes.

Edit: Sorry, I looked over the rhetorical question part lol

Not possible but it will be close. Tuttle and McKenzie are just really rare commodities IMO. Each one of those guys are program changers and to have two of them?
