'15 MI ATH John Kelly (UT Signee 2/4/15)

This kid runs tough in traffic. Naturally runs low and has a nice burst through the line. Doesn't have the extra gear that Love has but runs tougher and is harder to bring down IMO. If this guy took Loves spot it was a pretty good trade I think. Plus if he doesn't work out at RB he could probably make the swap to DB and will contribute on ST. Nice over all value along with Bruce and Perry.

John Kelly is one of the most underrated commits for 2015?

Agree. However, the most underrated IMO is Darrell Taylor. For some reason I have a feeling he'll be a star. He reminds me of an Aldon Smith type OLB. You know the tall, rangy, athletic, pass rushing 3-4 backers.

I think he can develop into a high NFL draft pick. Maybe even 1st round.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Taylor backing up JR Maybin, at OLB, in passing situations

I think its more likely he backs up Maggitt in nickle packages. He's more of a 4-3 DE/3-4 OLB than a traditional coverage linebacker on passing downs. IMO Phillips will back up Barnett at RDE and Taylor will back up Maggitt at LDE.

I'd love to see a nascar package where we put Taylor, Maggitt, Barnett, and Phillips on the field at the same time during 3rd and long passing situations. Now that would be exciting.

Weatherd will get those reps before Taylor.

Yep. But I think Taylor has a really good chance of growing into that Maggit/Weatherd role in the future. We're gonna need another hybrid guy in 2016. If Taylor can bulk up and pick up the system well, he could very well be that guy.
