Is it possible that Elliot Berry could move to RB? I don't recall him playing last year at all and if his brother is finding a niche in the return game and on D I wonder if Elliot could do the same on the offensive side of the ball.

This is just my opinion, but I don't think so. Evan is a possibility because he's naturally shifty and hard to tackle. Elliot doesn't have that same wiggle, at least based on high school tape.

Think so. But he could be an AA at safety. No need to consider him at RB.

We need the depth whether he was a 3 or 5 star out of HS. If he's back with the team he's going to surprise some people imo. Had he not gotten injured his senior year of HS he would have ended up being a solid 4 star imo. He's a bowling ball with a good skill set.

We need the depth more for practice than anything. You typically want to limit the hits you top 2 guys take but you still want live reps for your defense. The better your scout team the better your team.

Based on this math, Abernathy will have 16% of the carries. Which is more than Kelly's 15%. I don't think that happens.

I agree to a point but as long as he has been working out it's not as big of a deal not having played last yr over say a QB not playing 2 yrs. He should be completely hhealed but would just need to get back in football shape. He wouldn't be getting a lot of snaps anyway with Hurd and Kamara getting the majority of them unless one gets injured. But if nothing else it would give us more depth. God help us if Hurd and/or Kamara go down. We couldn't survive the way GA did at RB last yr. We have got to get help this class at RB.

Abernathy will play slot receiver not running back unless we have an emergency need.

Yep, I agree with the sentiment. Would rather Kelly get the touches in an ideal season.

To me that looks about right which is what my breakdown looks like.

I expect Kelly to more touches than Abernathy. Abernathy will get Pig Howard or Pearson touches as in the feared jet sweep. Kelly can push for more as the season goes on I hope because I don't see Hurd going a full 12 games.

Anybody want to wager the over/under on Abernathy getting 16% of the carries? I got the stone-cold lock on the under. Unless of course, Hurd and Kamara get injured then who knows what they coaches will be forced to do. We just know one thing if that happens...it will not be pretty.
