'15 MI ATH John Kelly (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Kelly and Young are gonna be pretty big guys. Young has a frame that could hold another 15-20lbs easily as he matures. Hes already pushing 200 now. Kelly at 210-215 will be good to see as well.

Young? I'm drawing blanks.

If we didn't pick up Young, OSU would have offered the same exact blueshirt spot.

Moseley type recruit IMO. Excited for him and John Kelly as they are both super underrated guys.

I agree i like him. Just from a super small town and didnt make his way on to the camp circuit often. I have always thought he would end up being pretty good. North Carolina and Virginia liked him as well. As far as Kelly goes its pretty clear why they wanted him. Hes pretty smooth and very versatile.

"Just talked to him a little bit earlier and he's on his way to Knoxville and will be here later tonight.

He is ready to be in school, which starts next week and really is thankful for coach Gillespie, who he talked to every day, as well as the other running backs and everyone in his class. He said he talked to multiple members of the 2015 class every day.

He's at 210 right now and has been running more than six miles a day to stay in shape. I'll have the full story tomorrow."

Prob not a lot of kids out there willing to run 6 miles a day to prepare for college grind when it's not required.

I hadnt heard why he wasnt in yet & was actually glad to hear that he officially signed up for classes. Have you heard why he was a late summer addition?

Michigan graduation is late or something. Year-long schools maybe? I don't know. Just being a SA, I was really alluding to the 'late-as-usual' Hyams shtick but now I see from your other post that it must have been a radio spot or something where he said this.

Michigan high school graduations are typically in the first two weeks of June so slightly later. Winter was rough this time at about 50" of snow. One before was worse at about 96". Though they often cancel due to cold knocking out the heat at the school and/or not wanting kids out at bus stops.

Are you referring to Picou or Hyams haha I'm sorry I had to but I really hope Picou makes it in I was excited we got him. Haven't heard anything lately on him tho.

Just for a conversation piece.

Who's film do you like more- John Kelly or Treyvon Paulk?

Treyvon Paulk - Hudl

John Kelly Jr - Hudl

Paulk looks more explosive, but I'd take Kelly. I generally think balance and footwork are some of the most underrated aspects of athleticism and Kelly has them. Very difficult to get him on the ground because his feet are just always underneath him.

There are backs who are bigger, stronger, faster, but if I had to make a prediction I'd say Kelly will produce better than most.

Paulk was very good prior to his injury. His Soph film was his best IMO though. He looked devastating at RB then.

Idk if it's true or not, but I heard it had something to do with the rough winter and so many snow days being used or something.

Wait what?? I didn't think they had snow days up north? I thought that was only for us wusses down here in the south. Don't they walk through 5' of snow uphill both ways to and from school?

If this guy can show up and impress then it will go a long way for our season. Need RB depth bad. And having 3 stud backs is a luxury.
