'15 MI ATH John Kelly (UT Signee 2/4/15)

Abernathy won't play running back unless we find ourselves in some major, major doo doo and even then he'd probably only be used as a scat back.

I see him playing WR a lot. I was really hoping Abernathy would have transferred here when Butch came, kinda like that little fast guy that followed Urban to Florida. I think his last name was James. I think we will defiantly benefit having Abernathy here. He is blazing fast and athletic.

The late arrival is a non news item. His high school didnt graduate soon enough to allow him to enroll for the first summer session.

Coach G has already sent him the playbook and his workout regiment to a trainer in his area.

He will be ready to go.

Living in Michigan he prob had mad amounts of snow days. They are fun until you're still in school in June!

Not that it means anything but his Twitter handle has Shuttlesworth in it. Any tie to former Michigan RB Ed Shuttlesworth?

I think Kelly is underrated. His tape shows an ability to find the end zone. I hope he does well in Knoxville.

"Just talked to him a little bit earlier and he's on his way to Knoxville and will be here later tonight.

He is ready to be in school, which starts next week and really is thankful for coach Gillespie, who he talked to every day, as well as the other running backs and everyone in his class. He said he talked to multiple members of the 2015 class every day.

He's at 210 right now and has been running more than six miles a day to stay in shape. I'll have the full story tomorrow."

Thanks Ron! I'm glad he had out on that kind of weight, and the fact that he is running so much say means that it is most likely good weight.

Kelly and Young are gonna be pretty big guys. Young has a frame that could hold another 15-20lbs easily as he matures. Hes already pushing 200 now. Kelly at 210-215 will be good to see as well.
