“Tennessee is my No. 1. But after that, I really love Michigan. I really love Michigan State. I love*Ohio State. I love*Wisconsin. So like, it’s kind of a tossup.”

If he "really loves" the Michigan schools then how the heck is UT his leader? Especially if its a tossup between everybody. Semantics? Hedging bets? Smokescreen? I got nothin'

Steve Stripling will head up north to Michigan to see several 2015 Vol prospects that have already visited Knoxville. Stripling will be at Cass Tech in Detroit to see defensive lineman Joshua Alabi. and running back Mike Weber and Tennessee is in great shape with both of those prospects.

“I keep in touch with him. I talk to him at least every two weeks[.] He’s just telling me all the time that he wants to get me down there, and I could come in and play, most definitely, because they’ve got a lot of senior defensive linemen right now.”

“I still like them — great school[.] Right now, I’m just focused on my grades. I’m not even thinking about football right now. I just need to get my grades up. I would say (I liked) the atmosphere — just being down there, being with the coaching staff, the girls,” he said with a laugh. “I just had a good time.”

“We were supposed to get down to a game (at Tennessee), but our schedule’s so tight we weren’t able to make it,” he said. “I know we’re going to try to get back down there soon, though.”

Alabi also said that UT is probably recruiting him the hardest. Vanderbilt, Indiana, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan and Ohio State coaches have all been in contact with him.

"Josh Alabi says Tennessee and Michigan State are sticking out right now. He said he loved his visit to Knoxville today.

This was Alabi and Weber's second visit here. Weber said it felt like home here and talks to coach Gillespie often.

Weber said he has no leaders right now but plans on being back at some point.

We will have full updates on both later on."

This class is going to be as awesome as last years! Almost every thread I click on shows we are at the top of their list, or, at least, in their top group. It's really fun to read all the complements these young men are giving our beloved university. We are definitely going to get our share of some of the best of the best!

"Just caught up with three-star two-way lineman Josh Alabi from Cass Tech in Detroit. Alabi said he had a great time at Vols' Junior Day and that Tennessee and Michigan State were still his firm co-leaders, and that they were "right there" together, tied at the top. Alabi also said that "the girls" were his favorite part of the day. So he's definitely my kind of kid."

“I just feel comfortable here, man,” Alabi told InsideTennessee. “It feels like home to me. I love it. I just have a good time every time I’m up here.”

“I think it’s the orange. I’m just playing. But I do like the color orange,” Alabi told IT. “Coach (Steve Stripling), Butch (Jones)– the coaching staff, man, they just make you feel like home.”
