"It was a great visit. It was a really great visit. I loved it," Alabi said. "I just loved it. I feel like I'm at home when I come here. It's like family here. I love the coaching staff and I like hanging out with some of the players and stuff. I just have a good time when I'm up here."

"I like coach Strip, he's a great coach. The head coach, coach Jones, he's a great coach, too. The whole coaching staff. It just feels like we're at home," Alabi said. "I talked to coach Jones earlier today before the junior day got started. He talked to me and said he wanted me and Mike (Weber) to come down here and play for him. It was nice to hear that."

"The girls," Alabi said laughing. "The academic stuff where they showed us a lot of ratios where they have 40 players over a 3.0 and I was pretty impressed by that. That was one thing that stood out."

Alabi said that Tennessee and Michigan State have separated themselves from the rest of the schools coming after him and when it comes to the Spartans, he also feels a close tie. "I'm at home, the coaching staff," Alabi answered when asked why State is at the top with Tennessee. "Coach (MSU defensive line coach Ron) Burton, I love him. He's a good coach, so is coach (Mark) Dantonio. They sit down and talk to you and tell you they want you."

Alabi said academics and playing time are most important to him, distance isn't a factor. His mother would prefer he stayed in Michigan but he said it's his decision. He also said he and Weber talk about playing together sometimes but it's not a big deal if they don't.

With both of them keeping msu and UT at or near the top, I can't help but think they end up playing together. Just comes down to leaving the home state or not. I think msu is the one with the edge here. Maybe 60/40 right now. Still a long way to go.

Don't shoot me, but IMO, he's not a take for us right now. Phillips and Roseboro are higher on the board.

“you know, the academic stuff, they showed us a lot of ratios, like how they have like 40 people or something like that with a 3.0 (gpa),” he said. “i was pretty impressed by that. That’s definitely one thing that stood out.”

“academics and playing time, and what my parents think about the school, basically, (will be the biggest factors),” alabi said. “distance, i don’t really care about that. I mean, either way i’m gonna have to leave home sooner or later, so that doesn’t matter. I mean, i have to grow up. My mom, of course she wants me to stay in michigan, but at the end of the day it’s still my decision. I’ve got to do what i want to do.”

“i really don’t care about what conference i’m in. I just want to play. I mean, the sec conference, that is the best conference right now. I mean, i guess you could say that’s a factor or whatever. But, i mean, tennessee and michigan state are, like, right there together.”

“i’ve got to talk everything over with my parents, in the first place, before i make any decision,” he said. “they just told when i feel like there’s somewhere where i want to go, they’re just gonna sit down, talk to me and tell me what i should do, and just look it over with me and just lead me in the right direction. I don’t know when that could be. It could be pretty soon, or not.”

“I just feel comfortable here, man,” Alabi told InsideTennessee. “It feels like home to me. I love it. I just have a good time every time I’m up here.”

“I think it’s the orange. I’m just playing. But I do like the color orange,” Alabi told IT. “Coach (Steve Stripling), Butch (Jones)– the coaching staff, man, they just make you feel like home.”

He can't say that. We are the Big Smokey Gray now. Kids did not want to come here when we wore that horrible Tennessee Orange. And it is about what the players want? Right?

You should be banned for even jokingly referring to Tennessee Orange as horrible.

Alabi is visiting this weekend, is he a take?

I think he's a take, but we will see if he makes it in first. He and his parents are scheduled to be in and if they make it I think there's legitimate interest, but Michigan State is turning up the heat, too.

I hope you experience an excruciating and painfully slow death by fire ants.

He's threatened me too, he's an angry little elf!
