Not trying to stir up anything, but the Penn St Rivals guys has Alabi as a confirmed visitor for their Spring game this weekend.

RCS Detroit: Top Defensive Performers

"4. Joshua Alabi
Detroit Cass Tech

The three-star Alabi was the second-most dominant defensive lineman, behind only Gallimore. He's a huge prospect at 6-foot-4, and showed his versatility by winning reps at defensive tackle and defensive end. Toward the end of the one-on-one session, Alabi even slid to the offensive side of the ball and won two reps as a tackle. His versatility will only serve him well at the next level, and plenty of schools like Michigan, Tennessee and Wisconsin are already lining up for his services."

247sports' Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong is reporting live from the Sound Mind Sound Body camp in Detroit. Wiltfong reports that Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech Defensive Lineman Joshua Alabi is high on three schools.

"Detroit Cass Tech 2015 DL Josh Alabi is really high on Tennessee, Michigan State and Wisconsin," said Wiltfong.

"Heads back to Madison this weekend for two days. Loves Coach Stripling at Tennessee and Coach Burton at Michigan. Also said him and Michael Weber often about playing together in East Lansing. Will also visit Miami soon. No timetable for a decision."

Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech 2015 lineman Joshua Alabi and his 2017 teammate, receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones, who will likely be a blue-chipper, will both be at Tennessee on Thursday and Friday.
The Vols have been a top school for the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Alabi for most of the recruiting process, along with the likes of Michigan State and Wisconsin. He's slated to check out Penn State on Sunday.
Tennessee was one of the first schools to reach out to the 6-foot-1, 170-pound Peoples-Jones, who has several early offers including Ohio State, Miami, N.C. State and North Carolina.

This is a guy that six months ago I thought we'd be hearing more about.

Yup. I had hoped we would land both Alabi and Weber. Just has not played out that way. I doubt Alabi is a take anymore, at least not today. No Phillips and IMO he would be in that next group.

If this is true about being here this weekend and it wasn't from last week, I bet he stays through Saturday because it is OC weekend and he will want to talk and get to know all the other guys.

Mike Weber soon to follow probably.

Not sure on that one. A lot of USCw CBs have come in of late. I think OSU has been pushing for Damien Harris. I could see Alabi and Weber not playing together in college. Harris does not pick OSU, and maybe they get Weber.

Do they not have room? :)

No clue. I thought I read a while back on an OSU board they thought their class this year would be 17-18 kids. That was another reason that once Oscar Meyer took the Burrows kid at QB, I did not think they would take a 2nd. Of course as has been discussed with UT, Meyer could just move TG to WR once the signature is in.

I was just messing around lol. I do agree with you though however. I think I remember reading somewhere tOSU is going to have a small class.
