'15 NC DE Darian Roseboro

Who are the SDE's in '14? I see 2, Hendrix and Mixon. Henderson is a WDE and the rest are DT's.

Roseboro is already 260-265, he might end up growing into a DT anyway. Robertson and Mosley might end up on the OL.

I know you obsess about the numbers and all that but passing on Roseboro or Phillips is not how you build championship teams, IMO. You win with elite OL and DL and those guys are elite, look at their offer lists.

Darian could sleep with CBJ's wife and he would still be a take - LV is off his meds

I will never understand why one persons opinion promotes so many attacks.

There's a difference between stating your opinion to make a legitimate point and stating your opinion (devoid of facts) just to be obtuse.

LV is nowhere near as annoying as VolNayman on VQ, so I'll give LV a pass. :)

Ignore... I ignored him about 2 years ago and took him off around November. Believe it or not he's actually less depressing now than he used to be. This is LV in a nutshell....The glass is always less than half empty.

Is this what you really meant to say? Seems to me that a less than half EMPTY glass would be closer to the full side.

Oddly enough I don't seek attention. In no way am I a troll. I state my opinion on a given situation all along knowing there are a few who will allow it to throw themselves into a frenzy. Will I change my opinion to keep them from doing it? No way. There is alot of entertainment value in a good "freak out".

LV why dont you just stop arguing? I think that would fix the problem.

Words make my brain pain and makes my eyes rain.

Thread is just all arguing. Anyone know where we stand here? Thought he was a bammer lead.

Most on here felt he was going to commit to UT around the spring game as he set his announcement around that time. He has since backed off that and the process for him will continue. Kid likes UT a lot from what I have read.

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — The list of teams pursuing Darian Roseboro has continued to grow over the past few weeks, and it’s still showing no signs of slowing down.

Top247 junior defensive end Darian Roseboro of Lincolnton (N.C.) High School says he has received 27 scholarship offers, with eight of them coming over the past month.
That hasn’t made it easy for him to identify any early favorites.
The Top247 junior defensive end from Lincolnton High School said Friday that Tennessee, N.C. State, North Carolina, Duke and Texas currently are high on his list among the 27 scholarship offers he has received, and he’s hoping to visit at least a couple of those schools soon.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Roseboro made it clear, though, that he hasn’t settled on any early leaders “because I haven’t been out to see these schools.”
“I think a couple schools I’m going to get to for spring visits will be N.C. State, Tennessee, South Carolina,” said Roseboro, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 144 overall prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class.
“I’ll be up at Michigan at the end of March, and then I’m going to get down to Ohio State. This summer, we’re going down to Indiana — hopefully I’ll stop by down there — and I think we’re going to make a stop at LSU.”
Roseboro has added offers from Georgia, Alabama, West Virginia, Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Missouri and Syracuse over the past month.
He most recently added offers from Alabama on Tuesday and Georgia on Thursday.
“I talked to (Alabama linebackers) coach (Kevin) Steele, and I asked him, ‘What do I have to do to get the Alabama offer?’ He said, ‘All I want you to do is come down, but you have an offer from Alabama. We just want to get you on campus as many times as we can,’” Roseboro said.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Roseboro added offers this week from Alabama and Georgia.
“It kind of caught me off guard. I was like, ‘OK.’ I had to sit there and ask him to repeat it again just to make sure I heard everything right. I was pretty excited about it. They’re a powerhouse. They always produce great players that go in the (NFL) draft, and (I like) the tradition Alabama has — and the Auburn-Alabama tradition.
“I talked to (Georgia) tight ends coach (John Lilly), and he told me, ‘We love you on film. We loved everything you’ve done.’ ... He said, ‘You have a full ride to the University of Georgia.’”
Roseboro said N.C. State, Duke, North Carolina, Tennessee and Michigan are among the teams recruiting him hardest, but “every school has picked up” its interest in recent weeks.
He discussed what he likes about several of those teams:
Duke: “I really like Coach (David) Cutcliffe. There’s something special they have that they’re building up there, and that’s something I really look into. They treat every player (well). You go to some of these schools, and they treat you just as another number. But they treat you as one of their own, and you can really tell that and sense that the players care for the coaches just as much as the coaches care about the players.”
Tennessee: “There’s just something about Tennessee. It’s that tradition they have down there and how they’d put me in the defensive scheme — where they’re saying I can come in and help the defense. They broke everything down to me and my parents: I’ll play this and I can make bigger plays playing this position.”
Michigan: “Some coaches say that they care about the (players). I want to see more how the coaches coach their players — if they just straight put them down. Of course, they’re going to get onto the players, but how they go about their coaching. Is it going to be a way I can be coached? I can be coached, but I don’t have to be coached a certain way.”
N.C. State: “N.C. State, their coaching staff, they’ve obviously gotten some of the top players in our state to go there and commit. I believe, if you keep your best in-state players, then you can contend for a national championship because, just going by the past, if you look at all the players that’s come out of the Carolinas, just imagine if those players stayed in the Carolinas and were on one team. I really like what they’re building down there. They’re getting some of the top players. Coach (Ryan) Nielsen, he’s a great D-line coach. He’s a fun guy. But when it comes to taking care of business, he’s all about it and he’s serious about it.”
North Carolina: “I like what they’re doing down there in Chapel Hill. I’d have to say they’re getting top players as well. Actually, one of my friends, (North Carolina freshman running back) Elijah Hood, we’re really close. I talk to him every so often. Actually, I got to see him when I was down there for about an hour. Chapel Hill, they have tradition. Julius Peppers came out of there, and I’ve always been a big fan of Julius Peppers. And (defensive line) coach (Keith) Gilmore, he breaks everything down to the fundamentals. He tries to teach you how to be a better man, how to grow into being a man and the other important things besides football.”
Texas: “Actually, I’m starting to like a little Texas — just what I’m building with their defensive line coach (Chris Rumph). He’s a fireball. You can just sit there and tell that he loves the game of football, and he can sit there and just tell you about it, tell you about it.”
Roseboro said he’s still several months away from deciding on a college.
“I’m early enrolling,” he said. “I only have one class to take my senior year. I’m going to do it before the season. Right before my first game is when I’m going to do my commitment.”

RCS CHARLOTTE: Top Performers - Defense

3. DE DARIAN ROSEBORO, LINCOLNTON, N.C.
Roseboro came into Sunday's event as the highest-ranked player on the defensive line and for the most part lived up to his billing. He continues to get bigger without sacrificing the quickness that makes him so dangerous as a pass rusher. Because of his quickness off the ball and his size, it's clear that Roseboro could fit into a number of defensive schemes and might even be able to slide inside if needed. It's easy to see why he's wanted by major programs from all over the country.

Fortenberry with a video interview on VQ...Roseboro said the process is overwhelming and he's trying to stay humble, he's enjoying it. What he likes about UT, the tradition, rivalries, players coming in, players put in the league, etc. He likes how many DL Coach Strip has put in the league. He wants to get out and see Michigan and Clemson soon. He plans to be at the UT spring game and wants to see how the coaches push the players. He's coming out with a Top 8 at the end of May and will start to narrow it down, he is going to be an EE.

His country accent is almost as thick as Zach Stewart's haha. This kid has been one of my top wants of this class, I really hope he's wow'd at the spring game and visits again this summer. I think he's one of the best DE's in this class and could end up sliding inside and playing DT down the road depending on how he grows.
