'15 NC DT Sterling Johnson

I'd take McKenzie and Johnson and not give it a 2nd thought. Jones would be an impact guy sooner IMO, but I don't think we win that battle with the MS Juco handlers. I think Settle is a longshot.

I wouldn't call Settle a long shot because in the end we are going to be in his top three, but I do doubt that we get him. Being in the top three for someone does not equate long shot though...

Being a hat on the table is never a bad thing. When I said longshot I meant IMO UT is a very distant 3rd at this point.

Just now watched his video and this guy looks like he just has the knack for being very disruptive with his penetration and pursues the ball very well. Not the biggest guy playing DT but definitely very productive. He will need to put on some weight to play DT in college, so I hope that does not affect his explosiveness off the ball. I like that we lead for him right now.

He'll be huge and hard to move with improved pad level. He's very athletic for a 6'5 kid. He's already 285 and at his height he could carry 315-320 no problem. Can't wait to land him. Kind of DT I've been wanting on our side for a while.

Hawks are definitely a multiple front team. Carroll called it "running a 4-3 with 3-4 personnel". They do some crazy stuff with their front 7. I once saw them successfully drop their NT playing the 0-tech into coverage on a TE. Interestingly enough the one time we did that last season with Corey Miller at the nose (not sure if he was lined up over center though) it completely confused Connor Shaw and ended up with him getting sacked from behind.

Gus Bradley used multiple at Sea and now in Jax. Quinn was his DE coach and took those sets to UF. Hawks and Ravens have perfect DL/OLB to go 3-4 to 4-3.

What an impressive young man. Intelligent, well spoken guy. He has his future mapped out already, seems like an instant leader in the locker room

Seems like a real good kid. Humble and down to earth. I really want him in Knoxville....not a whole lot to worry about though imo...GBO

Oh...and Thig gon' full-Thig

I liked hearing him say that Bama and Texas were coming after him the hardest besides UT and the Vols are still the leader by a mile.

And DJ Jones might be better than both.

And it's hilarious seeing the first coupled pages of his thread after we offered him in highschool.. All these internet coaches and scouts couldn't believe we would offer someone rated so low.

We are all star gazers whether we want to admit it or not lol.
