It appears I may have been the one that was trippin. If so, apologies LV...

Scenario 1 - Sterling Johnson commits to the Vols tonight and we gain a top DT prospect - which is awesome!

Scenario 2 - Coach Jones would not accept Sterling Johnson's commitment because we are in with multiple 5 star DT prospects - which is awesome!

Personally done fretting over it...

I agree every site is biased. Partly why I don't just base my opinion off of just this one. Do I think UT is in his top group? I do. Do I think kids are starting to fudge their "top lists" so that signing day and their "shock the world moment" may actually surprise a few? I do. If your going to post "top lists" and they are 100% fact, an announcement ceremony does not mean a whole lot IMO.

No big deal at all. It's recruiting. 95% of it is just guessing at what these kids are going to do and how the coaching staff is going to go about filling the class.

He's not really a 4 star, his stock has fallen pretty dramatically.

TN isn't the only school that would turn him away due to interest in better targets. His offer list is elite but I doubt a lot of those elite offers are committable.

All this is good news IMO. Means we're getting after some ballers.

I love taking as many lineman as possible though so sign them up!

FSU took 4 in 2011 and 3 more in 2012 not counting those that were already there...so yes we'll take all we can get.

I find the "we are a long shot with Settle" yet Settle says we lead a very interesting position to take

Leb Vol- You know that I respect your opinion and like to hear your point of you because you always make some good points even though I don't always agree with them. That being said, I have to disagree with you on Settle. If he says that UT is #1 on his list, I will have to take his word on it until he say or proves otherwise. A recruit's word means something to me because said recruit know what's going on his mind when no one knows and is just speculating. Maybe it's silly to take a recruit at his word, maybe it's not. Guess it just depends on the perspective. That being said, you make good points otherwise. :hi:

Ok, now back to Johnson....:p

Yep. I really like Jennings and think having both Dobbs and Ferguson provides us plenty of depth for the future. Get a 5-star in 2016 and take the big uglies now.

well that depends on how our QB's play in 2014 - i am hopeful we will see enough where we feel really good about the future at that position but at this point i don't see how one could feel too good so right now i say take 2 QB's for sure

if 1 of riley or dobbs show something in the fall then maybe i scale that back - but you just can't be bad-mediocre at that position and expect to do well

you can be bad-mediocre at backup DT and still have a nice year
