This kid has great vision. I saw very few clicks where he didn't know exactly where the ball was, and who had it. I know it's a highlight tape, but there were a lot of play packed in there. I am very impressed.

He has never been on a true visit to UT, but you can tell he is really feeling the Vols with all of the stuff he has been tweeting lately.

When you have a limited number of scholarships, and you only play 2 at a time, yes you can have enough.

I wish we could get 4 DT's, but I'm gonna pull and LV and say we pull 2-3 because of the numbers.

*I only predicted 2 DT's in the "predict the class" thread while projecting a class of 25, so my "numbers" issue is not the same as LV's.

Even in the SEC, there is usually only 2 on the field at a time. If you have 30 great DTs, you will probably lose a lot of games. Have to spread the 85 around. Doubt we take more than 2 DTs in this class.

I could see us taking 3 but no more. Anyone claiming we "need" 4 is insane. We had a great dline class last year.

Doesnt Butch like 16 DL on his roster? That would mean you take about 4-5 total DL per year. Because of redshirt and attrition. If youre only taking 4 DL per year, you dont take all 4 DTs.

I believe once we get the roster caught up, we will take 4-5 total DL per year.

4-5 sounds right to me. This year I think it's 2 DTs and up to 3 DEs.

McKenzie, Howard, Butcher, Jackson, and Phillips would be a very good group IMO. As of now, I think that would be reasonable.

They need to be playmakers at the position. I want guys that make plays on the other side of the line of scrimmage consistently. We did great in the back seven and at DE but we need some good DTs.
