It's starting to sound that way. The VQ guys have even been talking that up the last few days.

Love is the one I want at RB. I like Bussey a lot too, but Love has some teamates who are going to be elite prospects as well over the next few years.

Kamara, Reid, Love/Bussey and done. That would be a hell of a haul and give us good depth at the position.

Reid and Frasier are bigger bruiser type backs so they are 1a and 1b to me. I really like Reid's game, and I think Frasier is a long shot. I'd actually like to see what Cutcliffe could do with him at Duke.

id take kamara, reid, love and bussey as well to give us some two back sets and some flexibility at slots as well. reid and hurd for power and the others for the speed. would be a helluva haul.

Obviously. I didn't bump it for likes. I hadn't been on here much recently so when I saw that post generated zero discussion I was suprised. I find it interesting to see how people's sense of humor vary. I found my post in this thread to be much more humorous than my post about Beamer, but the majority disagreed.

Not to go all Leb on you but I really think we only have 3 RB spots in this class. It would have only been 2 till we lost Paulk.

Yeah, I don't think the coaches would have even considered taking 3 in 2015 till they lost Paulk. Even losing him I'm not sold on using a 3rd RB spot with needs elsewhere. I still see Perry and Bruce as situational/change of pace RB options down the road. Yes, they would play more in the slot, but could get carries as well.

Kamara, Reid as full time RBs and Perry, Bruce as possibilities and IMO use that spot elsewhere, IF it actually exists today.

Possible, if that is the case why are they still pushing so hard for so many RB's?

Only for a contingency plan if Reid jumps ship?

Seems like a lot of effort that you don't see at other positions that we seem set at.

Could be they plan to take another.

Could bee a contingency plan for Reid if he takes some visits.

Could also be a lot of nothing similar to a lot of folks sure the staff was "clearly" pushing for Torrance Gibson when UT was not actually even taking his calls.

Perry and Bruce are not RBs at UT. Slots, maybe some wildcat, or they are DBs. I tend to believe at least 1 of those 2 don't sign with UT because of numbers at the end. I'm taking Perry over Bruce all day.

we were taking 3 before paulk. it may still be three or we may go bama like a years ago like bama and take four. with the talent we are in on in this class, and knowing that next year is no where near as deep, i take two more if its of love, bussey and fraiser.

That is the pecking order. We want 3 of those. No need to take 4 RB in one class.

Full time RBs? I agree neither one would be. Could either guy be an option IF....IF....injury/depth called for 5th-6th string RB help? IMO, yup. Bruce had 800+ yards rushing last year and about 120 receiving. Leads me to think in a pinch he may just fit in better in the backfield.

I'd also point out once again that both Bruce and Perry size wise are very similar to Love.

I'm really not sure how many times someone has to say this before people on here will understand, but size does not equate directly with power running.

Balance and strength (yes size has something to do with this) are where you get the ability to break tackles.

bussey reminds me so much of the little auburn back two years ago. u take four if they are that good and you are so void of talent - and can play slot. plus kamara is juco. things will shake back out down the line. seems to have worked ok for bama.

I don't see Reid sticking around if we take 3 rb's, let alone 4. I think it's possible the coaches are hoping to EE Kamara and Reid and then take another RB after Reid is enrolled. Seems to be why they are trying to push back Love's official. All a conspiracy theory of course.
