If the kid can get 6 yards a carry vs Oregon in garbage time, I'd at least like to see what he would do in other short yardage situations.

Like I said he could turn out fine. But you gotta take those stats with a grain of salt. If he was that good coaches would have played him more.

It really is a good strategy by these other schools to follow up on our offers since we can't possibly sign 200 players. Programs will get our scraps, which will be good players in their own right.

“I went to Tennessee two weeks ago,” said the 6-foot, 215-pound Reid. “It was my second time there. I saw them playVanderbilt*last year. I love it up there – it’s a great family atmosphere.

“My favorite parts of the visit were getting an offer from coach (Butch) Jones and going to the basketball game.”

So who are we thinking top three running backs are on our board. There's not a whole lot of chatter like last year with Hurd.

Lock if we green light him. I think he'll climb in the rankings if he rushes for another 3000 Yds next year. Griddie could prolly tell you what classification concord is in.

GT and ARK offered since he visited UT.

I agree. I think he commits if the coaches allow it. Only thing holding it up IMO is they are really trying to get a top quality scatback type RB if they can. If I'm being honest I don't get the whole need a small back idea, but some coaches seem to like it. Bigger durable RBs who can rip off 15-20 yards a pop are just fine by me.

"Tennessee leads for Reid, but he's told some close to him he's not ready to make a decision soon and wants to see what offers he picks up and I think Tennessee is ok with that as there are others they are looking at closely as well.

They are doing a great job in North Carolina right now with Stephen Griffin, Carl Tucker Jr. (who UNC is still very much a factor with, just like Clemson is with Griffin), Bryce Love, Olenga and others. Elder and Thigpen have been putting in work in the state and kids are listening."

I think we have a few RB's higher on our board that we have a good shot with.

Would take Reid in a hesrtbest to go with a swinney, love, weber. Reid plays is a greag 3a area of the state. In fact he has led them to two straight state title games only to lose to derrell scotts havelock team.

Not True when talking scout. They will creat a title called Erin Andrews one night stand and the actual article would be quotes about Rosanne instead

“The Vols are my top team by far, man,” Reid told InsideTennessee. “I love Tennessee. It’s just home there.”

“It’s just the best. It’s just a great atmosphere – just a great place,” Reid told IT. “Like, I love everything about Tennessee. It’s a great place to be, man. It’s a good spot for my parents and my family. We just feel comfortable there.”

“(Jones is) a great guy. Not just because he’s going to get the job done, ‘cuz he will, he’s just the kind of person who you can trust with everything,” Reid said. “From getting you coached up to just being a role model. He’s as good as they get, man.”
