Is Paulk really coming back? There were reports he allegedly punched his girlfriend. I know that she did not want to press charges, but I cannot say that I am fond of him being on the team if he did, in fact, hit her.

Man, you are taking a BEATING on the boards and it is easy to see why. You've been referencing "final plans" and the end of UT's recruiting efforts since this summer. And have been been pretty smug while doing it.

Are you actually reading the posts that surround your illuminating sermons on morality and ethics? Or do you just grab a beer, slide up to the cpu, push "on" and go Kaczynski on them keys?

EDIT: Rocky Reid seems like a good, tough kid who wants to be a Volunteer. I hope we sign him.

Wouldn't waste Jet fuel to say thanks but no thanks. A phone call could do that. He probably reaffirms his commitment and doesn't take visits.

Word was that he in fact did not hit her. She instigated the altercation and he was trying to push her off of him. This turned in to him getting booted. The truth has since come out and word on the street is that he will possibly be reinstated.

Also, is close with Sapp, and around this time is when Sapp began being very shaky towards UT. Things apparently have been smoothed over with Sapp and his family, hence why the regained interest.

Fair point. He probably isn't the only guy Elder is visiting on his trip, but it makes me think UT cutting ties with Reid isn't a foregone conclusion as some portray.

I just don't see anything extraordinary about Reid's abilities. That said I think he really wants to be a Vol, I'll root for the kid wherever he ends up because he seems like a kid with some sense. :)

seems like the team would have done a little better job of handling this situation before kicking Paulk off the team if this is the real story. If I was Paulk would I even want back if I was treated wrong?

I think the timing of it led to the overreaction. There was a lot of national bad press for anyone who seemed to go easy on domestic abuse. I'd also think he would want to come back. The alternative is either sitting out a year or spending a year in juco.

Same situation with AJ, what were they suppose to do. They can't have an accused woman beater or an accused rapist on the team. We are not FSU.

During the time he was suspended you have to remember all that stuff around football players and domestic violence was going on. Jones had to act swiftly and it took this long for the truth to actually come out.
