Picked up his first offer, from Jacksonville State. Doubt we offer, but I also doubt he would be a walkon candidate (cue Ethan paying his tuition jokes).

Ethan was not considered a great athlete. But he was one of those guys who showed up working hard and developed into a D-1 recruit. Am very glad he's a Vol and hope Eli works hard and takes his play to higher levels.

yes Sir...I didn't think about Helm...bUTch always recruiting...

Hope it is not a sign about Helm. Nothing against Wolf, just really think Helm can be a great TE and would hate for him to give up on playing here.

What did his dad say and to who?

Fresh off catching the game winning touchdown to win the state championship in Division-VI in Ohio, Minster tight end Eli Wolf has decided to decommit from Eastern Michigan.

Wolf, 6-foot-4, 205-pounds, is the younger brother of current Tennessee freshman tight end Ethan Wolf.

"Eli has decided to back away from his commitment to Eastern Michigan," the players father, James Wolf, said. "Tennessee has offered him a preferred walk-on opportunity, and I'm 99% sure that's going to happen."

"He is coming off a great season, and has other schools showing attention right now," the elder Wolf added. "I think the chance to play with his older brother is going to be hard to pass up, but we have to see how things go."

This past season, Eli Wolf caught 74 passes for 1,350 yards. He also scored 18 touchdowns. He was a first-team All-Ohio selection.
