I'm a man of my word I thought Hoover would demolish Blackman but they didn't....That's a credit to JJ and the staff at Blackman that's a good program...Going to be great to see the development of JJ as a qb first in Tennessee's program

I thought Blackman played okay. Hoover is very good and athletic.

Hoover coach just Jennings is going to give the SEC fits.

He said we had no answer for him.

Jennings wowed the crowd most of the night with his ability to escape Hoover’s defenders in crucial times. His 13-yard scamper on third-and-21 set up 9-yard run on the next play that was capped with a dive for the first down.

Jennings, who had 72 yards on 19 carries, landed on the football and left the game for one play. Two plays later he had the Blaze’s final score.

“He’s an unbelievable player,” Hoover coach Josh Niblett said of Jennings. “We had something like five third-and-12 or plus and he converts them. You aren’t going to stop their offense from not doing anything, and we have a really good defense. But, he’s just a heck of a player.”

Jennings completed 15-of-23 passes for 163 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.

Jennings' regular-season stats: 105 of 171 (61.4%) passing for 1,746 yards, 16 TDs and just 2 INTs...98 carries for 682 yards (7.0 ypc) and 15 TDs.

At this same point last season Jennings had completed just 64 of 129 passes (49.6%) for 1,174 yards, 13 TDs & 5 INTs.

I won't lie this is probably one of the least athletic squads I've seen from Hoover. They are always well coached though. Their core players are usually in the same system from pee wee league all the way until HS. Hoover then goes and gets its playmakers from the city programs if they can. They are still recruiting out there. :)

Dormady is a good QB,and Kendall will have his day, but I can't help but think that Jennings will be our QB one day. There is something about this kid.

Thanks POA! I hope everyone had a safe Halloween! We had snow, sleet, and cold ass rain here in Indy but we bundled up and went out anyway. Glad to hear all the updates about JJ and all the future Vols! My oldest two and I are about to go do some Girlscout stuff and then come home and cheer the Vols to victory!

Really look forward to seeing Jauan in our offense. He has worked his tail off to improve his game and he's going to prove those who said he couldn't play QB at the SEC level wrong IMO.
