Auburn's playbook
I agree.It could work tho
His athleticism works great in the zone read and it would open up play action. Give him easy reads and just let his athleticism take over. Nick Marshall would hit wheel routes that were wide a$$ open all year because everyone was sucked in by the handoff.
He could be a really good QB in a scheme like that.

I think you at least have to look at him at QB, before you decide if he needs to move to another position. I think his strengths are his size obviously, he has a very strong arm, and he has exceptional feet , quickness and overall athletic ability. In the days of the spread type offenses, I don't think you necessarily have to be the best passer in the world as your ability to run can make difference as well. I think he will improve as a passer with better coaching at the college level as his mechanics are raw, he has a tendency to hold the ball low prior to throwing it and uses more of his arm strength as a passer to get the ball from point A to B as opposed to doing the same based on solid fundamentals. I love his ability to make plays when they break down.
I think his assessment is way off. I did not see a "strong arm." What I did see is that he has a quick-release and a compact throwing motion. It's better than having an elongated throwing motion...certainly. But it could be much of the reason his passes don't seem to have a lot of zip on them.-Carlos Younger on VQ
