'15 TN ATH Jauan Jennings (UT commit 4/7/14)

Looked like you were still busting me over my previous mispelling. I can't keep up with all your forum interactions since I make no effort to do so.

Peace offering :peace2:

I haven't seen Dormady at all. Is he mobile? It appears our offense runs better when there is a threat of the QB keeping it.

This is a real question and I'm not knocking Dormady. Just haven't seen him

I've seen him several times. In my opinion, he is mobile but is not as much a running threat as Jennings. He is more of a pocket passer that is capable of running enough to move the pocket or keep the defense honest.

I can more designed run plays for Jennings than for Dormady. Then again, if pass blocking and run blocking improves, I can see Dormady tearing up the opponents d through the air.

Last game Dormady had about 50 yards rushing of less than 100 total for Boerne. They just don't run much or run well when they do so it is hate to gauge.

Both quite capable. Just different styles.

A good QB competition should make all better. I feel good about the QB position going forward. I think whoever wins the job will need a much improved line over what is in place now.

The good thing about Jennings, is he's got some of the better escapability I've seen.

It's unlikely our line doesn't improve, but it's very difficult to get Jennings down.

Great traits to have but is something one would like to mitigate the reliance upon.

I think the better phrasing would be he has developed a really good pocket presence. It's good to see so many people coming around to his qb ability after a ton had written him off as getting moved to Safety. With another offseason, and potentially a redshirt, ahead of him, his growth the first time stepping into a real game wearing the Power T will be astonishing.

I've never written him off. However, I like the idea he has talent that can be used elsewhere if he doesn't win the qb battle. I don't like the idea of a kid with his talent standing on the sideline. That may just be me though.

For the record, I'd just like to put out there that Middle Tennessee 6A ball is as good as anywhere in the country not named Florida, Georgia, Texas, California, and maybe Louisiana if you're feeling generous. That might not have necessarily been true 10 years ago, but it is now. I have no skin whatsoever in the QB argument, so I'm not biased at all, but Jennings is playing the best competition in the state. That's all you can really ask of him at this level. I'm just excited to see both him and Dormady in orange.

Just being silly like many do rambling off all the acronyms. GFY is my favorite b/c it has the dual meaning, good for you or go #!&* yourself. Just messin is all

I got no problem with people saying Rutherford County is a tough district. However it's not one of the toughest in the country.

Also JJ has earned his QB stripes. Dude has the potential to be special. Imagine how good he will be after a RS year :yikes:

I doubt anywhere in Tennessee or Kentucky is in the top ten. That list has at least that one flaw for sure.

Just watched his senior season highlights to date... Amazing the improvement he has made. Just really impressive the work he has put in and it's definitely paying off.

Also not that it matters, I just found it interesting. he has the same rating on 247 as Deshaun Watson. Almost the same as Jameis. And better than Kenny hill, Brett Hundley, and Mariota.

If Juan keeps improving heading into Knoxville, I think he will really leave Bajakakxbcncndvnj and Coach Jones pondering on who should exactly they should start heading into fall camp.

I'm hoping that both Vaughn and Dormady are EEs. It will certainly help them learn the playbook quicker. Plus they get to work with the WRs in the informal workouts.

Vaughn Vennings

Oh, ok. I thought he was insinuating that Vince Vaughn, who happens to be 6'5, was heading to the Hill so he could fulfill his dream of becoming a collegiate quarterback. I'm fairly certain he'd keep Gibbs rockin' every weekend.

He doesn't have the practice work ethic, and summed up his playing history st ND with lackluster effort in his sr year.
